Seems like a lifetime ago. Halo 2 and 3 were my favorite multiplayer shooters ever. Reach wasn’t as good but still very fun. Then 4 happened and killed the franchise. But like many I got suckered into buying an XB1 for Halo 5. After realizing how bad it was and how it plays nothing like a Halo game I returned the console to the store and got my money back.
So disappointed at how 343 killed what was one of my favorite franchises.
The campaign was like 4 hours long and had a terrible story and all you did was fight the same boss over and over that was an annoying bullet sponge ripped straight outta Destiny.
Warzone got boring within a few matches when you realize its the same thing over and over on 3 maps with no real purpose other than to use items gotten from req packs.
The competitive mp was terrible with a lack of map variety and modes and a really lame rank system.
Never again will I fall for another Halo game with 343 making it.

I don’t play any of those games. Rainbow Six Siege and GTA Online are my go-to multiplayer games now.

He also forgets ps4 has games like uncharted and the last of us, and clearly is unaware of what games are on steam at the moment.
I’ve played them all for a significant amount of time. This feels like Halo but it’s modern. It’s one of the best by a long shot.
I fell in love with Halo because of the story and the detail… now graphics are epic but content is just so plain… I liked Halo 4 mainly because they put you in another story following cortana and the chief but Halo 5 is just a pointless mess of aliens and HD landscapes. I like the story that they try to convey and where its going. But the way they told the story it just did not cut it for a Halo game… sadly.

I’ll agree with that, battlefield is not a normal military fps and takes decent gun skill.
But I remember when Halo was good…oh wait, that was today when I played halo 5. I’m really enjoying the game, possibly more than any other one. I just wish warzone played more like conquest from battlefield.
I think 343 has had enough chances to prove themselves. They haven’t made a single good, fully-featured, functioning game TO DATE.
-Combat Evolved Anniversary: A re-texture. Not their game.
-Halo 4: Horrendous gameplay mechanics. A clear CoD Jr. Spartan Ops, the only PvE mode, was ridiculously cringeworthy. Incomplete game. (Good campaign though!)
-Spartan Assault: Mini game
-Master Chief Collection: A. Not their game. B. Ridiculously broken. C. Totally incomplete. D. Still broken for many, by the way
-Spartan Strike: Mini game
- Halo 5: Guardians: Incomplete game. Lacking features and functionality that we’ve had since 2004. A package comparable to Halo 2 in terms of content. Less features and gamemodes than we’ve ever had in a full Halo game. Less maps than we’ve ever had in a full Halo game. Less customization than we’ve had since 5-8 years ago. The only redeeming factor to the game is core gameplay.
Oh and then you have their disgustingly non-functional apps and their out-of-date website. Those are great indicators too. Not to mention that they fail to include populations counts anywhere now - I wonder why.

I think the logic that says that “since a sub-par game is the best thing you can get right now, you should be happy” is more disturbing, but yeah.
So do I, popping heads on Noctus a couple of hours ago was a fun time.
Halo is still fun. No, it’s not H3 with -Yoink- AR’s and any game that didn’t start with a BR was a waste of 10 minutes. This game is fast, fun, fresh, and while it changes Halo’s core I would rather have that than I would a rehash of the same game passed off as a new one.
Every single halo has had its problems. Its not that this game is bad, its actually far from it, its the fact that now as apposed to then people can see and spot all the errors and glitches.
