As I posted early, we might be witnessing an extinction event for 343i.
Not even close. 343 has never tried to go back to the roots. Halo 4 was just like Reach which was the first game to move away from Halo’s roots. Halo 5 wasn’t even in the same realm as Halo’s roots and Infinite isn’t either. Though it is a closer step in the right direction.
good i dont ever want to play another game from 343i. Its absolutely trash.
If 343 is attached to the next Halo project, then Microsoft might as well make that free too.
I read your reply in the wrong tone I suppose, as in the fun aspect was a wrong persuit as well lol, so that’s my bad, I apologize. That’s the problem with text based conversations, the same sentence can be read in 7 different ways ![]()
when 343 said “going back to their roots” they meant going back to their roots, 343’s first time with a Halo title, that being the dieing days of Reach and the misread that was Halo 4.
the closest Halo has ever been to it’s roots was when Modders went wild with reworking Halo Online; just like when modders were hired to make a mainline entry for Sega’s flagship series (that consequently absolutely demolished their in-house game in reviews and sales for that year).
343 is just a name. They barely have any permanent staff.
