i’d like them to start halo completely new. make a reboot. the story is so far gone, i don’t think anyone could salvage this. and of course reboot it gameplaywise. stop going down the oversaturated CoD/BF route.
Halo just needs a total reboot with a new dev team. I just don’t understand why after the horrible receptions of Halo 4 and 5 that microsoft continued to allow 343 work on Halo.
The best part is that Saber almost did do better job than 343 with Halo Online.
if Saber had worked concurrently with Certain Affinity and contracted the people from the ED team, cut off the 343 development staff entirely, we could have had a Halo that would have lasted the next 10 years and then some, with the gameplay that literally everyone and their dogs were praising for actually being “back to its roots, but enhanced”
No no, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying had they released a Halo 2/ Halo 3 type game, they’d atleast have more players than they currently have. It’d still be ranked behind Roblox, and every other popular game, that it’s currently trailing behind (probably). It would however have more players than it does now. They wouldn’t be much larger as you said, BUT by the laws of averages. Infinite alienating new players, and legacy players both. Where hypothetical 2/3 Infinite, would only alienate new players, ergo, it’d have atleast 1 group still playing it.
Thanks for your reply. But regardless of new players or legacy players Halo Infinite needs more players to reach that critical mass to maintain its commercial relevance. And clearly 343i is not making that happen.
I have only ever wanted Halo to retain its title as top FPS, I only want Infinite to succeed. Idk how they could regain players on Infinite. The market is so diluted, with so many FPS Online games, that it may be time that instead of being the top, they make Halo a fun competitor. I believe the days of just assuming everyone you meet with XBL plays Halo religiously, are gone, and now the question is, have you ever played Halo… I’m not stuck in the past, in anyway, but the trying new stuff on Halo, clearly hasn’t worked. Why not try a full classic Halo, at worst, it fails too, and they tried. At best, it may atleast make it stand out, and draw players to it.
If they did that, all they would be doing is adding stuff that would’ve (and/or shoudl’ve) been here to begin with, and then a new campaign… I’d rather they just fix this and then when they make the next one, learn from their mistakes.
OMG, you said the magic word, “fun”. 343i didn’t need to make Halo Infinite a “skills” game or a “classic” Halo game. They just needed to make it FUN for as many people as possible, old and new…
I get it now, you’re one of the people who just literally want to argue, and troll… I’m sorry that is your take away, from my bending over backwards to have a conversation with you
WTF! I was being sincere…! Are you!? I took the time to clarify and made sure I understood what you were posting. Hell, I even thanked you for your reply! Maybe that’s the real problem here, some people don’t understand the importance of that simple three letter word in gaming.
