I Recieved My First Matchmaking Ban

First, the story behind it.

I decided to go into a game of FFA. It ended up being on The Rig. So I was playing, and I was actually doing pretty well. I had gained the lead, and I think I was about 17 kills in, when I was disconnected from the game. Irritated, I decided to shake it off and go into another FFA match. This time it ended up on Riptide. So, again, I gained the lead. Quitting was the last thing on my mind. I was at 18 kills or so, when I was disconnected from THAT match too! And then, when I returned to the main menu, I was given a 30 second matchmaking ban. (this being my first “offense”)

343i, please fix your servers. Being disconnected from a winning game is worse than the game-breaking lag occasionally encountered in player-to-player-based online multiplayer.

No excuses, no exceptions! You’ve done your time, now you’re a part of the group!
I’ve lagged out plenty of times myself, it can be pretty frustrating. While I see the reason behind it, you shouldn’t get banned from disconnects.

Well, at least it doesn’t seem to count on my Win/Loss ratio.

This will probly get locked, theres a sticky at the top thats the “all things ban related” thread

Ah.

If you are using WiFi which to a wired connection also be sure to hard reset your Xbox one often .

A wired connection would be extremely inconvenient. Also, I have my Xbox One set to energy-saver mode, and I unplug it after every use.

There is a ban thread at the top of the page.

The Xbox one WiFi isn’t very strong could be the cause of your disconnects.

Spartan Locke’d! OP, feel free to read over the ban thread pinned at the top of the forum and reply there if necessary
