For a awhile since they announce their pre orders for halo 4 it been kinda of hard for me to choose where I should pre order them from. There are so many different pre orders, that got me guessing if any of these are actually going to be as later unlockable or as download content (dlc) for mircosoft point. I really am hoping there are unlockables in the game or at least as day one dlc or at a later time frame. It been bothering me for months looking or hoping to find a answer for my question. I know that 343 has busy schedule and that they got better things to do but I and many other would appreciate if they can take the time to answer our question. Thanks for taking the time to read this forum.

Well it is a pre-order bonus for a reason, I don’t recall any pre-order bonuses for Halo ever being put on the marketplace or available for unlock normally in-game.
I doubt they will be downloadable and will stay as pre-order bonuses.
Once the game is out, they will be on e-bay from people who have no desire for them, you can always purchase them then.
not a single preorder for any Halo game has ever shown up later as DLC. I doubt it’ll happen first for Halo 4.
and I’d be mad if ppl preordered at special places, got their DLC skin, just for randoms to join later and buy them.
You really shouldn’t worry about this. Just pre-order from the place that’s familiar or feels right. I pre-order from Gamestop because it’s familiar and close by. Pre-order bonuses are nice, but ultimately pointless, I think.

The master chief armor that came with cea is on the marketplace.
Will you be able to get the pre-order bonus’s at a later date? Possibly. You never know, with Halo: Reach, players had two opportunities to get the flaming helmet afterall (Legendary pre-order and one of the map packs pre-order @ gamestop). So who knows…

Nope.
Either way, I’ll have to get my hands on some If not all the codes.
I do hope they at least put them out on the marketplace later. Good thing that I still have a few thousands Microsoft points from the play and win.

I’ve also asked this question numerous times. Really hope they answer it soon.

You forgot Gears of War 3. They brought pre-order content to DLC on marketplace.
I agree they are pointless and really have nothing to effect with gameplay but some people wouldnt mind trying to get them. I mean some of these pre orders look cooler then other and some of them come with more dlc then other retailers for example like mighty ape or best buy. And don’t forget this is a new company working on halo so we can possibly see the pre orders release as dlc as them trying something new and showing us that they are listening to some of the fans even if it not a big one.

I hope they are thinking about it.
Let be honest. Except EBgames/Gamestop camo skin and BR artic/camo skin all the other skin look like crap. Thus I don’t care about them. Sold as DLC or not after launch it is still like 6 skin you “miss”. Not even armor or anything.

I agree with you there hasn’t been a halo game that has made any of there pre order release as dlc after release or unlock normally in the game but don’t forget this is a new company who is working on halo. They could at least consider on trying to make them as dlc that way everyone win. I mean think about it, really wouldn’t be fair for any of the cosumer who are planning to get the game to only find out that there were missing content because they didn’t decide to pre order it every retailer out there. Even if the content had nothing to do with affect on how the game play or effect it would still be nice to be able get them. I agree it not like you losing important stuff from the game or anything like that but to at least give people the option to obtain them. For explain people who don’t live near a GameStop or a retailer. Btw this kinda off topic but i prefer the mighty ape which come with most of the pre orders that were shown and look the coolest to me even though I know there are still more pre orders to be shown.
