I have been thinking about how special it was, I doubt we will ever see anything like it again, and I think those of us who enjoyed it should be thankful of the love, and effort that was put into it.
Forward Unto Dawn was essentially the best videogame movie made to date, while not even being a movie. I think I enjoyed it more than most of Halo 4’s campaign to be honest.
I am thinking about picking up the DVD to support it, I was happy with my LE purchase of Halo 4 since I have watched it 4 or 5 times through Waypoint.
So if you liked it, show some love, it was something special, it was also free, and I think that people should appreciate it.
I really loved it. Very glad for what they did by making it.
Showing the darker version of the Covenant, building Lasky’s character, and John boarding the Hunter were all very awesome, to name just a few of being awesome.
Will buy the DVD (never cared for Blueray) eventually. Got LE, but if you don’t have it physically, you don’t have it at all IMO.
If I could find it, for free, I would watch it.
I liked the first two, now if I could watch the rest, I may support it.
Just bought the movie on iTunes. Going to watch it as soon as I get the chance!

Too bad Lasky got like Amnesia in Halo 4 and acts like he’s never met the Chief before.
It was really good. We desreve a Halo film already.

Actually, in the first cutscene where they meet, on the level Infinity, he says quietly so only Chief can hear him, “Never thought I’d see you again.”
Anyway, FUD was epicness. Put the parts together and you have an awesome Halo movie. Watched it twice, because it was just that good.
Forward Unto Dawn = <3
I was completely captivated every episode. I only wish we could have more Halo cinema like this.

I have no idea how people can think that Lasky actually does not remember John… all their dialogue together shows that they do and that Lasky looks up to John as a hero and wants to actually help him.
It was a beautiful series honestly, and I think it got everything right on, it truly showed the brutal side of the Covenant and just how overwhelming they were in the early years of the war. It really built up Lasky as a character and showed he had the makings of a great leader, his growth as a character was a beautiful experience.
I would love to see a Halo film that started from the beginning, and gave a glimpse of the lives of John and others being transformed in the soldiers, Spartans they are now, their augmentations and surgery, their power, that would be epic.

wtf are you talking about… The 1st thing he says to him is. I thought i’d never see you again.
Now make a damn movie. With peter jackson directing it… Holy Moly I would see that film more times than I saw Toy Story 3.

Peter jackson is a EPIC director but not for Halo the only person that should direct a movie is the guy who directed forward unto dawn.
It was alright apart from the glaring anachronisms.
All the Covenant were wearing “The Storm” armor that didn’t even exist yet.
And the Pelicans are the new, idiotic, redesigned ones.

Yea…no. Peter Jackson is all about being faithful to source material, and doing it good. He would be perfect. OR both him and Neill Blomkamp as they were both working on the Halo movie that then became District 9.

Except, you know, anyone with half a sense of perception can tell that line was added at last minutes to add the loosest of tie-ins to FUD. You can tell from the greeting alone that originally they had never met before.
seemed like a cheesy american drama to me tbh
I bought it on DVD. I thought it was amazing and really wanted to support their work.
One of my favorite scenes in ANY movie, is the final confrontation with the Hunter.
No one mentions the encounter with the Elite Zealot.
I loved forward unto dawn. I put it in my list of must see gaming movies/web series.
I just don’t know if it’s number one or number two, cause I really liked Video Game High School…
