I hate it. I would never play this outside of the need for Challenges, and when the challenge is to complete matches, I take that as an incentive to barely play the game and just mess around on Breaker.
Glad you like it, but if this was removed from Halo Infinite tomorrow, I wouldn’t even notice it was gone.
i agree with Darwi, you dont have to burn yourself out. and honestly 343 has made alot of the event passes easier because everyone finds something wrong with them. one event pass they only made you play one game a day. (really thats simple, even if you hate the game mode) another event pass, if you signed on and played during the second half of it, they unlocked everything for you. Tenrai had how many chances to unlock everything? not to mention there was no rush to get them done, and it was fiesta, super easy. now this event pass they are making challenges next week count for two challenges.
my personal opinion is everyone wants everything easy and or practically handed to them. wheres the fun in that? its not just halo either. my second personal opinion is i love a challenge. alot of others may not but i do, Halo has always been competitive in some way and it needs to stay that way. for now i just deal with the challenges whether i like them or not because thats all i have to do until they implement a better way of doing things.
back to the topic though, LSS whether i like it, or you dont, adds more to do and variety. 343 cant please everyone and wont ever be able to. atleast there is new content and they are even trying to make it better. but thats just my opinion and i respect everyone elses for the most part.
FFA is not a very popular gamemode. I loved FFA in halo 5. Played a lot ranked FFA.
But i hate LSS. Lot of people want to play with a team. But LSS forces you to play FFA if you want to get the event rewards.
And that causes a lot hate.
It shows there’s potential for a BR mode but as it currently is I don’t like LSS. The "Gun Game* element doesn’t work considering there’s literally no reason to “upgrade” you loadout until you get the bulldog as the sidekick outclasses most other available weapons. I also think power up drops are both too frequent yet feel super inconsistent, they should drop on a consistent timer until 2/3 the lobby is eliminated, at which point they stop entirely. I also don’t like how many lives you get, 6 deaths before elimination just make the first 90% of the game feel like FFA but bad. Obviously the Zone needs to close much quicker to accommodate these changes and must close completely after a while. I’ve seen more than a couple 1v1s drag on for a bit too long because neither of us are willing to make the first move.
It’s an enjoyable game mode. I feel like its reception is really hit or miss. Naturally, the same people that rant about FOMO every week hate that they’re forced to play anything other than team slayer (just kidding, dont get mad), but I’ve seen quite a few folks on Twitter gushing about how much they love the mode.
Overall I think it needs quite a few tweaks for it to really shine, but it’s fine.
I enjoy it a lot as well it has brought me back to play regularly along with the addition of Rumble Pit. I have my own criticisms of the mode quite a few but I think it’s got great potential and I do hope it stays and is continually expanded upon.
I love how it plays I find it addicting and the competitiveness of it is very much already a thing which I know is not a positive for everyone and that’s ok. This is definitely not going to be a casual friendly mode and I’m happy about that I love playing customs and having pure fun and laughs on Halo but I also played H2 and H3 and love a lot of ranked playlists to grind and see my progression and how far I can go. LSS ranked play would be sick 
I think a dev has said that LSS is going to be getting frequent updates and tweaks & I feel like this is a great opportunity for them to inject more life into S2 and give it longevity and staying power like S1 didn’t have. They need to have something planned to make this season more special I’m sure they do or are trying to cook something up what I think is the events are likely to be better + more frequent and rewarding, to me it already feels that way with a new event right out the gate that gives a lot of cool stuff for free but LSS could be another way they plan to make S2 better.
It sounds like LSS will be sticking around after the event or at least be very common in returning and coming back with updates to it which makes me excited.
If it stays I’ll be one happy person
Season 2 has a lot to be desired, but I do really enjoy the mode.
Nice to see FFA players get something meaningful.
I’ve just won a few matches of LSS (never ever expected I would 
), but I still can’t wait to see the back of the game mode, or at least when event challenges are put on team based playlists and modes.
I’ve really enjoyed. I can only play multiplayer casually and I find it a great way to play a round once and a while and have a bigger game mode then just FFA; where I just get to enjoy the feel of halo instead of worry about dragging a team down.
I hope 343 keeps up the great work trying new modes out.

I guess it also depends on how good you are at FFA playlists and in general also. there’s other playlists for you to play so no need to bother with LSS for you. FFA isn’t everyones favorite or preference
that would be the case if i could gain xp through just playing the game, instead i have to clear challenges that center around LSS if i want to get any of the cosmetics
So is it LSS that’s the issue or the challenges?
the fact that i have to play LSS in order to gain any challenge xp if i didn’t have to clear LSS challenges to progress i wouldn’t mind but alas i don’t have to option to play ctf or strongholds without playing other modes i don’t want to the system is flawed and only there to sell swaps
I don’t like this mod, but I’m satisfied because there has no sniper rifle.
