I really love LSS, it has brought me back to Infinite, anyone else?

believe what you wish, if you hate it that much dont bother complaining or playing? one less application for you to download. and one less post to reply on.

…you spoke for yourself. lets keep this post on the positive side where it was.

Not a fan of battle royals and ffa at all, but I like LSS.
The mode definitely has a potential, but it need some tweaks.

its different in its own way, and i know once its tweaked, if it ever is, itll be awesome. to me it already is. hopefully they make it a game mode permanently for those who do like it.

I found that I didn’t really need to move much from once I spawned. Camo’s and Overshields seemed to come to find me rather than me going out of my way to find a power up.

I would rather power ups and weapons be more valuable. Unlocking the same weapons made the game type very tedious and boring after a few games. No variety.

Especially considering I ran through the Interference challenges over two days. I’m bored of it now. So I’ve gone back to playing ranked.

Overall it doesn’t really feel like a hectic FFA game type… 8 players on midship… more like a 1 on 1 on Valhalla!

Not a fan. It’s a bit too slow on a map that’s a bit too big (and disorienting when you first play it). Also doesn’t help that the desync and Disruptor aren’t good friends. Followed by me being forced to use the Mauler which I really dislike. Later on you also get the Commando… Which again, I dislike (like half of Infinites weapons).

Worst thing is you might be out of lives soon if a couple of players get to AR quickly. And then it’s a looooong wait just so you hopefully get some points to crawl towards finishing the event Challenges. Which sucks. So yeah. If it won’t return you won’t hear me complain.

It’s fine, I’m not really a FFA type guy. But it’s at least tolerable at least.

Could be better though with changes I think, maybe some more maps designed for that game mode.

I find the worst part about this mode is the Powerups, but I find it pretty fun

The beauty of Halo has always been it’s wide and open sandbox.

Nobody expects everyone to love all the options; slayer, objective, snipers, swat, grifball, infection, warzone, btb, firefight, and so on.

I don’t understand why people are generating so much hate and vitriol towards LSS. I guess some of them are just anti-halo/343 trolls who, quite sadly, seem all to frequent on waypoint. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. It will live or die by the number of people who do.

Agree that it is not a bad thing in itself as it offers more variety. Albeit I absolutely hate it as a mode. Completely disagree that people can just go play something else. I would love to, but my battle pass, event pass and weekly are ALL full of LSS challenges. Meaning that if I want any progression at all in this game or if I want to unlock anything I have to play this mode

Which is all fair enough.

I just can’t imagine what the weekly unlock would have to be to make me want to play minutes, let alone hours, in a game mode I really don’t like.

It isn’t just the weekly, it is also the main battle pass and the event.

And it’s the nature of the challenges. 25 headshots, 10 melees etc… those are not super quick challenges, you have to play for a while to get it in LSS. And then you complete that and get given another 2 LSS challenges straight after.

We have 6 months to nail the battle pass.

I didn’t put any effort into S1 except for a couple of double XP’s. It was done in somewhere between week 8 and 10 (don’t remember which).

As for the event. It’s over two weeks. So you only have to do 5 a week? If you’ve hit a couple of obnoxious stumbling blocks and don’t want to swap them out, the sensible thing would be to wait and see what the RNG gods have in store for you next week.

I like the mode but don’t like the fact I have to grind it to get the event content. Keeping with the theme it would have been nice to have a mixed FFA playlist for this event than just LSS. In fact a doubles or triple mode LSS would have been great.

Apparently next week in ā€˜ Interference’ 343 are making it that you get 2 level ups for one challenge and they are making the challenges slightly easier to achieve due to players struggling to get any in a playlist that they not used too.

So you could complete the whole ā€˜interference’ pass with just five challenges.

I’m just glad they didn’t go full on Battle Royale (calling it BR is confusing when it’s also a popular weapon in Halo ). I’ve never liked the concept of Battle Royale ~ one life that could end within minutes before you’ve managed to get some decent weapons and items.

I’m glad Halo’s take on Battle Royale still gives you something to work for, even if you die a bit early on. You can still get kills and assists that help you level up after respawn. I’m slowly getting the event challenges done, though I’ve swapped out all of the ā€œget XX melee/back slap killsā€ I get

Me and you should play together, we have alot of the same viewpoints. Add me if you will. I’m probably one of the biggest Halo fanatics alive. I’ll show you my collection. I do hope LSS stays and I hope more game modes show up. I seriously use the pistol on LSS until I can get the commando but that’s just my strategy.

I hated it at first, to the point I wanted to uninstall. It didn’t feel like Halo. Zero teamplay, non of that frantic arena shooter energy.

But the next day I gave it another go with a different tactic, to just run around and get as many kills as I could. Forget playing like a Blendette and it can be fun.

I don’t love the mode, but I don’t hate it either. It is very RNG but that’s not entirely a bad thing. Fiesta is one of my favourite modes.

I put effort and it takes 12 weeks! Whatever.

Luck? Game time? More luck…

Bottom line though… you still did it with 12 weeks to spare.

So, no problem if you enjoyed the journey. But don’t burn out going harder than you have to.
