I know that everyone has their own opinion about Infinite, and LSS by itself. There are things that could be fixed about the game mode sure . . But honestly this game mode has gotten me to come back to this game more than any of the other ones. I for one hope that it never goes away. I know it’s an event but it’s one I truly love and I’m a die hard Halo fan. I’m definitely not new. Like I said I do know it needs some fixing but is there anyone else that hopes that LSS stays? (With fixes of course)
A post about liking something that is not Halo 3 or Reach?! HOW DARE YOU!
Jokes aside, glad to have you back spartan! See you on LSS
I know I can’t be the only one, I really hope this game mode stays, it’s refreshing to me and I’m addicted to LSS . Thanks for calling me out lol
Obviulsy u are not the only one to enjoy this mode
It’s just that Waypoint is full full full of hate
People that crave nostalgia
I’ve have my issues with infinite yes, but I love Halo, period. My collection of Halo things outside of the game would probably put alot of collectors collections to shame. In general though I haven’t played this much Halo for awhile, and I really love this game mode and I’d give anything for it to stay. Add me on Xbox if you will, I’m about to go to bed but we can play sometime.
Lms needs a bit of tweaking, but I still enjoy Infinite, was strange playing koth on mapsbut love it
I for one do not want Infinite to be given up on, it has amazing potential, I’m not going to say I don’t have my issues with it but I really don’t believe it deserves the amount of hate it’s getting right now.
I really like the concept of it, but it feels largely untested regarding spawns, weapon advancement, and power up drops. I’m sure it’ll improve but I don’t love having to play it to progress passes in it’s current state.
Outside of the event I really want it to be a play list by itself. Some tweaking done but overall I can’t stop playing it.
Next week more maps apparently too.
same here mate i’m loving it.
That would be really nice
I’m not that good at the game, so I was a bit worried when FFA was made the focus of Season 2. Thankfully, you get more than one life and you can “level up” your weapons even if you die. I’ve tried to get into Battle Royale games, but dying within the first few minutes whilst frantically looking for weapons isn’t my idea of fun.
But why did they decide to only have one map available for LSS? Isn’t the lack of maps one of the biggest criticisms of the game? So they decide to make you play the same map constantly… ![]()
Making people play on the same map for a week seems bizarre for me though…
I love Breaker but I think the sheer scale of the map is starting to hurt my rig. My rig’s pretty old but it ran all the other maps just fine, but Breaker in particular is kinda massive. The one annoying thing about LSS is running around the overly huge Breaker map looking for someone to shoot. It’s a stir-crazy experience.
BTB is absolute fun on it though, constant action and fits the 24 player BTB just fine. Really enjoy BTB on Breaker.
I don’t like to be negative, but I hate this match type and I refuse to play it. Apparently, a lot of others feel the same way. I noticed that a lot of streamers are avoiding LSS, too.
i can see where some may not like it, it does have its flaws. to me though it has me playing Halo like halo 3. i need this gametype/gamemode it has made me very happy. Also the armor in season 2 is worth it for me. i dont know why but the idea behind piecing together armor that you can find or because thats all you can get is pretty awesome to me. i have my own set of things i dislike about Infinite, but honestly season 2 has me back, and if this gamemode receives the tweaks it deserves then im back for good.
also id love to stream anything and everything halo related, especially since im optimistic and try to be positive. but i stand no chance against the other streamers. Id love to be a big part of grassroots also, im just really not sure how.
The way it’s designed is very uh-Haloish because of the whole limited lives thing. Halo has always been about scoring and being in the game until the very end, not eliminating players and essentially making them sit out.
This in addition to scavenging limited supplies of Power Equipment which undeniably gives an unfair advantage to the point of being a straight up guaranteed kill when the players trade. It also makes it unfun due to the limited lives governing your “play time” in the mode.
So to explain it simply:
LSS isn’t all about skill with weapons, which Escalation Slayer or Gungames are about, LSS isn’t about scavenging either because everyone has the same loadout for the most part.
LSS is all about opportunity. Do you HAPPEN to encounter an ongoing firefight and clean up the kills? Do you HAPPEN to pick up a Camo or Overshield, resulting in easy trades or backsmacks? Do you HAPPEN to get lucky and not get 3 way’d? Do you HAPPEN to spawn inside the safezone when the zone closes in or do you start melting on spawn and lose a life in a lame fashion?
And here’s the entire thing about Arena shooter players : WE HATE LEAVING IT UP TO CHANCE.
ah, im not disagreeing, some changes id like to LSS are as follows.
-
everyone starts with pistol ONLY
-
overshield and camo should spawn at a random location when its the last 2 players or even not at all
-
the match time should be exactly 5 minutes or 10 minutes (most of my games were down to the last 2 players within that time frame) Also this would make camping or atleast some of the camping go away because you have a time limit.
-
the danger zone should move in alot faster to go withnumber 3, to eliminate camping and also move with the time limit
-
either we start with 2 frag grenades, or the pick-up grenades on the map should only include 1 not 2 grenades
-
This one is my personal preference not what i believe has to happen, but the guns should go in this order.
A. pistol only
B. pistol and mangler
C. assault rifle
D. cammando
E. bulldog
F. Br
I do believe you should be able to choose what you drop or what weapon you choose to trade when you level up. -
very rarely but FAIRLY power weapons could drop around the map to change things up a little
-
I believe the number of lives could go down by one or two IF when you killed a spartan in a gun fight your shields went back up by 1/2 or 1/4 so if you did have another spartan on the way you arent one shot.
Really these are just suggestions. i like playing LSS how it is, changes or not.
