I feel much better about Halo 4 now after 343 made it clear that they didn’t love AAs or Bloom too much. This TU will be the first time I will have legitimate fun with Reach (Hopefully) since launch day. Not only that, but they’re adding skill back into Halo.
I just hope 343 carries the Halo feel into Halo 4 as well, because IMO it feels much cleaner than Reach. I was nervous as to what 343 would do with Halo 4 as far as Bloom and AAs go, but this TU is pretty much the nail in the coffin for both features.
Good riddance to Bloom and AAs. Ye shall not be missed.
I actually hope that the Bloom removal is only in the Classic Anniversary playlist, a dmr without bloom will be horribly overpowered and will take people back to their overuse of BRs in Halo 3. Although DMR Bloom can encourage spamming, I still think it took more skill than a BR in H3

They are, in fact, only removing bloom in certain playlists. You can either play Reach exactly the way it was since launch day, or you can play the new and improved Classic gametypes with all the changes.
Armor Lock…i am not sure about that one. I’ll give you that
Active Camo is the same.
There is no bloom for the DMR.
Damage, movement speeds, and jump height are increased.
Nothing new on sword blocking.
Bleedthrough shields: Melees can kill you regardless if you have a flicker of shields left. Just like Halo 3.
Headshot Bleedthrough: Not quite sure about this one but in the Damnation video, i seen a headshot (with the DMR) kill instantly without the shields being popped.
Frags blast radius seem smaller while rolling farther.

Every AA supposedly has subtle yet game-altering changes, so no, they don’t handle exactly the same.
Also, I’m pretty sure this will be the first ever playlist to let us play without AAs.

I never said they came out and said, “We don’t like AAs or Bloom.”
I’m saying that the option for the removal of AAs and Bloom in the TU is a sign that they most likely won’t be in Halo 4. Sorry for any confusion.
