The Multiplayer would forever fail if everybody could spawn with a Sniper & Shotgun

The only time you’ll be able to is on specific playlists which, by its nature, require a power weapon start like Team snipers. Normal matchmaking will not allow someone to spawn with a power weapon.

But you can also tweak settings in Custom Games
It will likely depend on the playlist. Think of Reach, for example, in some playlists, like invasion, there are multiple classes, and in some, like SWAT, there is only one.
Personally, I hate the whole customized classes thing as a whole, I’d rather an even playing field for all players, but that’s a different argument.
Unless its a Team Rockets, Team Snipers, Team <Power Weapon>s, etc., you will not have the option to spawn with a Power Weapon outside of custom games and/or certain gametypes.
It’s been stated for a long while by 343i. We’re still going to fight for them.

That depends on what they deem as “power weapons”. I read on some “info” that you will be able to spawn with a shotgun, but that might be false.
I was worried about that when I first heard about it but then I remembered 343i are the masterminds that reduced bloom and nerfed armor lock.
We have nothing to worry about.
