I really hope Halo 5 is M for Mature

I am a little worried for Halo 5 seeing the minimalist human blood that maybe it will get the T for Teen rating
I really don’t want it there
I hope it is an M rating, this is concerning to me because look at Destiny, it literally gutted the story for a T rating, I don’t want Halo to do the same
Halo 5 is supposed to be the darkest Halo, so why make it a T-Rating and limit it?
that’s just my opinion on Halo 5’s ESRB Rating, I want to hear what yours is
BTW I bet we’ll get the rating at Gamescom or RTX, probably not too long

I want 343i to make the best game they can. Something entertaining, fun, and long lasting. I want it to be a great game first and foremost. A rating does not make a game what it is. Great games can have M or T or E ratings, as can terrible ones.

A rating does not a game make or break.

Halo 5 will be the game we’ve seen (and played) regardless of whether it is rated M or T. I want 343i to make their game, and whatever rating it gets is the rating it gets.

Ratings are completely irrelevant to anyone who is neither a parent, nor too young to buy games above a certain rating. The developers create the kind of game they want, and the rating boards decide who should be allowed to play it. That’s all there is to it.

Is it? I get the looming threat of the Guardians but we dont know to what extent their threat is.

So far, Reach is probably the darkest because of the genocide of billions of people and a planet.

The state of Destiny’s story has no connection to its ESRB rating. Just saying,

CE,2 and 3 only had the R rating because of the flood. Remove the Flood and you have a T rated game. Rating doesn’t matter anyway as long as its a solid game.

Would make a joke about Destiny’s terrible story and the ESRB.

I then realized I cannot make a joke about something that isn’t there,

I remember reading an article about Destiny, and IIRC they weren’t aiming for a lower rating - it just kinda happened.

They also said that the things that pushed Halo’s rating up were things you wouldn’t expect - one that was highlighted was Sgt. Johnson smoking a cigar.

Of course, there are other factors that could influence this too (violence, -Yoink!-, language, etc) but it’s not always so obvious.

I think they should just make they game they want, and then when the rating gets handed down, stick with it. Cutting elements for a lower rating is compromising their vision, so I can’t condone that. Not that they would, of course.

Yeah give me gears style executions I want to be able to curb stomp me some Elites.

The flood were removed from ODST, Reach, and 4, but they still had an M rating, so I really don’t see your point.

I think it will be anyways.

But if not i’ll still buy it
