I really don't like anything about Vertigo

Mostly the theme/art style. It basically uses Exile’s environment plus an ocean, and we’ve got way too many maps with an oceanside environment already. The UNSC equipment scattered everywhere just seems insanely cluttered, especially with how fast players move now.

Basically, the map feels cluttered from both a gameplay and artistic standpoint. Plus, it uses a pretty generic theme we’ve already gotten in previous maps. I say we need more Forerunner environs.

I would rather have covenant themed maps or snow maps.

Covenant-themed would be a breath of fresh air for Halo 4. Snow maps…ehhhhh, we already have two. But they’re both big team maps. A small snow map would be great.

How about a Forerunner-themed map, I know we have a bunch of them, that is half-snow and half-desert? The snow half could be the blue side and the desert side could be the red side. Write off the description as an example of the wonders of Forerunner terraforming.

I feel like that’s kind of what they were going for with Meltdown. Like an “ice and fire” sort of vibe.

So far we have no map that is covenant they should release a last map pack that is covenant themed

I suppose, it just looks like a sloppy mess to me though.

I want urban-themed map. They’ve wiped out entire population of Phoenix at the end of Halo 4 so there is plenty of room for Turf/Ghost Town/Headlong/Terminal/District spiritual successor.

As for covie-themed… Sure, it’s strange that there isn’t even one, considering maps from previous games. However I found that covie-themed just don’t receive as much as love from fanbase. Even when they’re the best (like Arena Zealot in Halo Reach), they rarely are voted.

And Vertigo? Layout is like Daybreak meets Abandon. Since I like them both I like Vertigo too. Theme is also nice. Last time when there was sea and sunny beach it was around Halo 3’s default maps. That’s 6 years ago.

Meh. As much as I like Perdition it’s rather industrial than urban. By urban I mean Old/New Mombasa or arabian maps from CoD 4.

I would kill for Turf’s 4v4 spritual successor.

I like the interactive pads you can shoot. The seaside scape reminds me of the map back in reach that was mainly a small beach that had a crashed pelican. Also had a eletric line going through the air that EMP’ed banshees if they flew into it.

My feelings are mixed as iv’e only played 2 games on it.

like a halo 2 midship

Urban maps are the best maps I’ve seen. They are so fun to play in and show how far humanity has come in the last 500 years. Plus the best maps from Halo 2 were urban maps, like Turf or Headlong.

More urban maps would be great.

Ver-what? I thougt pitfall was the only map i got with the bundle. And i’m happy with that.

Bring back turf and mishap just like they were. epic maps.

I agree with everything you said except for that Covie comment. Really good Covie maps are popular. Two examples of this are Assembly and Midship.

I really like Vertigo, especially the interactive electric buttons that you shoot on the map. Reminds me when Halo maps were… ALIVE!

But agreed on Vertigo looking a lot like Exile.

I think it’s fairly pretty, but I agree with Nocturne.
