I reached the top. Thanks for Halo Reach!

I want to say thank you for Bungie and 343 for Halo Reach. After almost 4 years. I finally hit INHERITOR, I must say its really feels different now since I hit the ultimate goal in Reach. Thanks for 343 with Challenges, and Thanks Bungie for Blue Flames and Red Flames and such an Amazing game

I only just reached Reclaimer, so I have a long ways to go to Inheritor. Maybe if I hadn’t wasted so much time in Halo 4…

Well, here’s hoping I make it to Inheritor by this time next year. I probably won’t be playing as much Halo:Reach in the coming months, what with Destiny arriving in just 6 days and the Master Chief Collection coming out in November.

Ya, 3,500,000 credits needed to reach the top. Now with that said with 100,000 HALF of the daily cap it will take 35 days. But hitting the daily 200,000 will take you 17.5 days. Just to put that in perspective.

Congrats & welcome to the club!

The achievement might have been XP instead of skill based, but it was still a monster of an achievement. Reach really did Inheritor right… It really felt like the pinnacle of the “ranks” for Reach, because:

  1. it had a cool unlockable in the Haunted helmet.

  2. it could be earned via a variety of Campaign, Multiplayer, or Firefight play. The commendations were broad enough to keep you engaged and working toward them for a long time, whereas H4’s were entirely too narrow. (Think 10,000 automatic kills for Onyx instead of <1000 kills for each of AR, SR, etc Mastery.

  3. it could be earned via a variety of actually interesting Daily, Weekly, or Monthly challenges. I never found 4’s challenges to be near as engaging.

  4. Inheritor as a title is actually relevant, not made up like SR130

I’m nearly General. I’m more of a campaign guy, though. To be honest, as much as I love Reach, I can only handle so much matchmaking. I just wear out after five or six matches, but Reach’s multiplayer is not my favorite.

I’ve played the campaign countless times (once in just one sitting).

I like Halo 4 a lot as well, but I wasn’t a fan of the SR130 system. I maxed that out by July of 2013.
