It irritates me that all everyone is talking about is the shop. My friends went back to H5 weeks ago because Infinite isn’t fun to play. At the time, there was no fiesta playlist, but the biggest issue is we still can’t create custom games like we could before, in the game lobby, while in a fireteam is a mess. The team doesn’t even follow the fireteam leader when different modes are selected to play. If I’m the fireteam leader and go from the custom lobby to a multiplayer lobby, they are all left in that lobby. They don’t follow. Everybody is confused and asking each other - what lobby are you in? Where are you? Where are YOU? When setting up custom games, I can’t even see what team my friends are on while I’m the mode editor. I have to keep jumping in and out of it to verify what team everyone is on. The game lobby system makes the game not fun for parties in a fireteam. That ruins the game for us because we have been playing together for years. Playing with friends is all that matters to us.
My friends went back to H5. Last night I joined them in H5, to play with my friends and got booted from 100% of the games, apparently because there wasn’t enough dedicated servers that met the needs of our 5 person fireteam/party spread across so many regions. All of Halo as I would like to use it is broken in it’s current state. I quit playing H5 with my friends and I stopped playing infinite weeks ago. I got bored with the campaign and didn’t even finish it because I couldn’t play co-op with another friend over Christmas break.
I just practice the guitar now. I’ll probably come back in a year when and if it’s actually a full game. I have no interest in finishing the campaign because I couldn’t go through it with my friends and I couldn’t repeat the levels I finished to find sculls or try them on different difficulties. I don’t care about the store. I want to play games after work with my friends and all anyone cares about is the store and customization. How about a focus on friends?
