Imagine telling your children or grandchildren (If you have any) how lame you where when you where young that you played so much video games that you even won a truck

I agree.
I wouldn’t be embarrassed per se, but it would be frequently annoying, and somewhat unwanted for people to keep asking how I got the truck, and what it is for.
From a social standpoint, it would be completely awkward to drive something like that. But if you are a person who likes sticking out, and being noticed, it’s all you.
From a smart persons view, I’d have to sell the truck in order to pay for the truck & it’s taxes because of the gift taxes and it’s about 50% of approximate value, so all I’d have left is 10,000, but if I went with the grand prize of 25,000, I’d have about 12,000 dollars + tax and all would be payed off…
So, preferably, I wouldn’t want to win the darn thing, I’d just want to win new forge maps + weather gfx balls & more Halo 4 stuff, and if I won, I wouldn’t mind the money, but money is not everything.
So, I’d rather take the other grand prize they had said offered instead of the truck, sure it’d be cool, but I couldn’t keep it because of USA’s gift tax…

Gaming is becoming more and more mainstream and not an anti-social/uncool/whatever activity.
By the time I have grandkids they will all be gamers and they would find it awesome.
Also, you act as if every gamer is the same. Their are probably more “gamers” that don’t fit the stereotypes than do.

What’s there to be ashamed of? You won a contest. All contests take extended effort on a participants part. And if you enjoyed the contest then who cares what anyone else thinks?

I have played one match of Halo 4 in the past 7 weeks, and have not played the infinity playlist once.

So let me make sure i got this, you wnat it, you know what it takes to win it but if you did you wouldnt be able to stand yup for yourself to the pople who would miss judge you on winning it? I didn’t play a single game of it because i knew that the competition was about who could sit on their -Yoink- and play the most. no skill no problem its not like the truck is really free.
