So my friend downloaded the beta today and suggested I do the same so we could play it together. At least then we’d be able to find matches, right? (We were wrong, of course. Why should I expect a functional matchmaking system from 343?) We started the game and I was greeted with the most generic menu music to ever make an appearance in any Halo game. Then, we tried to search for a match. The first time around, I got kicked from the lobby but my friend got to play. I tried searching solo for a while, but the game failed to load three times in a row. I was about ready to give up and play something else since I already knew Halo 5 would be garbage, but then we finally searched together and found a match.
That match was the most depressing waste of ten minutes I’ve experienced in recent history. Put simply, it feels absolutely nothing like Halo. ADS feels like ADS. Sprint still feels out of place. Thruster packs are just as game-breaking as Sprint, if not more so. Ground pound is entirely useless, and it makes crouch jumping on the Bumper Jumper control scheme literally impossible. Kill cams are back and just as clunky as ever. Dying is incredibly frustrating now because of the elevator music and the jarring black screens. There is no “Respawn in 5…” countdown. The spartans chest-bump and high five at the end of every single match like D-bag frat boys. The list goes on, but you get the point.
I genuinely don’t even recognize this game as Halo anymore. The art style is too different. The sound design is too techy and bassy. The announcer is straight-up annoying now. I just want him to shut up. Same goes for the intrusive “Modern Military Shooter” voice that announces when power weapons are up or when your teammates die. It just doesn’t feel like Halo. At all. It feels like a generic cash grab, which is fitting, because that’s exactly what this game is.
This game is irreparably broken. It’s not even worth trying to give “constructive criticism” at this point, because everything that’s already in the game is in the game permanently. No amount of nerfing will remove sprint entirely. No amount of tweaking is going to make ADS feel like Halo.
Whatever. I give up. 343i simply doesn’t learn. This game will be dead within weeks of launch.

No amount of familiarity is going to warm me up to a fundamentally broken game. It’s past the point of no return. This isn’t Halo, and it never will be.
Thruster is actually a pretty cool addition. It can be used skillfully, Sprint? not so much. Quitting after one game though? That is a childish loser attitude.

There are games that I have no plans to buy or play; games that I don’t enjoy whatsoever. But I’m not on their forums trashing them and those who do enjoy them. It’s an odd behavior, I must say.
I downloaded Warframe and didn’t really care for it, so I uninstalled it and moved on with my life. I didn’t go to their forums just to talk -yoink-

Thruster CAN be used skillfully, but it can also be used to thrust back around a corner when you’re getting your -Yoink- handed to you. It’s just another crutch, but it has a side effect of making somewhat flashy plays. Not worth the trouble if you ask me.
It seems like you are bad at Halo 5… But seriously, this is the new Halo. By leaving Halo, you will never ever find a replacement even close to this game. Just deal with son changes rather than quitting to an unrelated CoD.
After one sentence i stopped reading your post to be honest OP. All jokes aside I don’t care how long or detailed your post might have been but lol uninstalled after one game no one is gonna miss you and your feedback is pointless but hopefully you find a game you enjoy bro.
