Halo 5 is ridiculously over-competitive.
Don’t get me wrong I like to watch esports, especially Halo sometimes, but it seems that I am always running into hardcore win-at-all-costs teams almost every Arena match. I consider myself an above-average Halo player. I usually go positive in my kill/death ratio, but that doesn’t matter when I am getting absolutely destroyed by over-competitive teams of guys that more often than not perfect shot me with their magnums.
I love Halo but I don’t see myself playing this game much longer. There are so many other good games out right now, why would I play a game I get destroyed in? Even on the official Halo live stream, the 343 devs got their -Yoinks!- handed to them during THEIR OWN -Yoinking!- live stream.
This is the reason why Halo’s population is low compared to a bunch of other games, just look at the top played games on the Xbox store, Halo is a fairly new game and down to #10 on the list.
Thanks for reading all of this if you did. I love Halo to death, but like I said it’s not fun at all when you get pounded every damn game.
play Warzone with me, I was playing with party yesterday, we were gettin wrecked on A.R.C. (worst map ever) so we all spawned Scout Hogs, lined up, and raced outside into the sun…and into a hail of tank shells.
I play hard some games too but I want to do silly stuff too sometimes
Not everyone is magically a pro. Quit if you like, but being mad at the game because there are players better than you is the exact reason as to why I’m better at Halo than I used to be. I started Halo 3 being barely able to compete with rank 20s. I played hard, found some really good friends and we grinded our way through the 30s and 40s. I never made it to 50 but I was dang close. Competition makes worthy competitors or butt-hurt cry babies, which one are you?
sincerely, an “over-competitive guy”
That clip is a crowning moment of awesome.
There’s always been tryhards in this game, but the great thing about previous (2 and 3) was that there was something for everyone. Arena sucks because it’s putting the whole competitive crowd in one place, when there used to be a few tryhard playlists (slayer, hardcore, even objective once upon a time, and later the MLG playlist).
