I only get 1 pulse grenade?

is there something about a pulse grenade that warrants it to be limited to 1 per initial loadout?

They have the biggest blast radius and are instant kills… imagine multiple of them on king of the hill.

It would be horrible on king of the hill, but they are by no means instakill.

The explosion isn’t instant kill? I could’ve sworn it was. I know the “field effect” it makes isn’t instant, but I’m pretty sure the explosion is.

I could be completely wrong about that though.

They’re like a combination of plasma and frag. They have a huge blast radius, and for the most part stick to surfaces. And they primarily break shields down really quickly.

seeing as a guy on nearly no shields charged through my pulse grenade earlier to melee me…

you can survive a pulse grenades explosion, and even stand in the radius for 90% of the duration and escape alive. yet i only have 1

I think the reason is because they activate for about 3/4 shield damage as soon as they touch the ground and could theoretically be comboed instantly with a weapon for a quick way to down shields in a firefight. Still, Plasmas actually do kill in one shot on a stick, and yet we have two of them. They’re basically the successor to Halo 3 firebombs, which never made it into MM…

Pulse are my favorite grenades, but I can’t justify using them when I only spawn with one.
