So tell me, guys. What have I missed out on? And how do you think that I (a devoted Halo fan, who’s played all game but one) will react? And is anybody else playing this game first time via CEA?
Well let’s just say, you will enjoy the storyline. It’s very well written. I wanna let you know what you’ve missed, but I’m not gonna spoil it for ya. It’s something that you have to experience for yourself.
You missed out on the best Halo game and the only one without a ridiculously convoluted and boring story.
You missed out on the pistol of the gods, and the hardest campaign in the series.
You missed out on 343 Guilty Spark, one of the most fear inducing levels in a game (probably not anymore, but when it was released)
You missed out on The Libaray. One of the most hated levels in all of Halo.
You missed out on The Maw. I wont spoil it for you.
You missed out on the game that single handedly gave rise to this new generation of FPS shooters to consoles and the game that was solely responsible for the success of the Xbox console.
You missed out on Halo:CE. The best Halo game made thusfar, and in my opinion, one of the funnest games ever.

lol so true.
read halo: the flood. It sums up the whole game. The game was not designed for a sequel, so you did not miss much.
Warning: you cannot board, there is extensive fall damage, you cannot drive a wraith, you cannot use an energy sword, and fuel rod guns will explode when dropped.
Like someone has pointed out, this game exclusively features the pistol of the gods (not the cheap imitation found on Reach. That damn thing was heresy). Unfortunately, he forgot to mention the other pistol, the pistol of the plasmas. This can burn through anything and it’s plentiful on Covenant levels. This is the definition of Normal difficulty! He also forgot to mention the secret weapon that is first found on 343 Guilty Spark. It brings down Wraiths and Banshees! Finally, my personal favorite, the plasma rifle. This thing is like the BR, a sword against infection. This thing is like the H3 magnum, crippling enemies with it’s stun ability!
Anyways op, prepare to be more cautious when around vehicles and think twice about jumping from big heights. The physics are undeveloped so it’s very easy to get splattered and the landing stun is crippling. And don’t mess with the Goldies. Their sword’s melee range is ridiculously big (in a good way) and they are very, very fast. And don’t expect to be able to assassinate Elites. They too have a big melee range.

the library is only evil because of the darkness and the random occasional Spunkr flood.
The game that made a new generation of shooters was Call of duty 4, but it did spawn Metroid Prime and vehicle use in games.
I actually appreciated halo 2 story the most. Halo 1 story: this planet is a weapon (death star was precedent, so it is not original), lets blow it up.
Best halo is a matter of opinion

You missed on the epic Warthog run on The Maw, backtracking constantly in The Assault On the Control Room, meeting The Flood for the first time and getting hunted by them on 343 Guilty Spark and stomring the beachhead at the start of The Silent Cartographer just to name a few.
I’ve played this game since it was released, so i am not new to it.

- How are any of the stories convoluted or boring? Sure, some are better than others, but really!?
- How is there ANY sort of precedent to halo 1? A giant ring floating in space made by an ancient race that is not only a planet but has the power to destroy every intelligent thing in the galaxy? This is the game that made the Xbox popular in the first place!
- Actually, Halo 2 had the most in-depth, important, and impacting storyline out of ALL the halo games. It contained the biggest plot twists out of the entire series.

stole from star wars for #2. a super weapon that you destroy in the end. that is what i meant. Also, chief looked pretty generic. I agree about halo 2. for #3, it does not make any sense to me either.

Also there is no bullet magnetism.

every levels are amazing !
people rage on library but they are limited because that level have a unique feel to it and thats awesome. Can’t wait to play it again
