I need help...

So my friends love armour abilities but I dislike them. So I told them why they suck and what is also wrong with sprint. They said that the MLG’s didn’t want any change. But I said that they were fine with boarding (h2) equitment (h3) But they still want to see halo 5 with noob friendly stuff.

NOW ONE OF MY FRIENDS AID THAT HE WONT GET HALO 5 IF IT DOSNT HAVE ARMOUR ABILITIES?!

WAYPOINT HOW DO I CONVINCE THEM TO NOT BECOME HERETICS?

say that there is no armor abilities, but abilities like a ground pound and sliding and what not you can do ALL the time instead of just choosing one, i love armor abilities but im liking not having to choose wich one :3

They are too far gone. It’s too late!

Perhaps they won’t be in competitive MP but will however feature in customs?

Josh Holmes confirmed that they will not exist in the game in any way, shape, or form.

Don’t convince them or play with different people. Let them figure it out on whether they are missing in on a great game or not. Don’t go out of your way to the point where it annoys you.

If they want to leave cuz AAs are gone, then let them make decisions and leave on their own merits. They might be crawling back and are just blowing hot air right now.

If you explained why customizing your load out is a bad thing for Halo and they still don’t understand, then they probably never will and will simply have to play a different game if they don’t like it. Traditional Halo wasn’t founded on selecting your weapons/gadgets before a match and including that feature in the main gameplay (arena multiplayer) betrays the franchise.

King Leonighdus has the best answer for the situation.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Halo isn’t the shooter for them.

To be honest, I suspect the same thing of people who said that 343 will never make a good game ever never and have said they won’t buy any game 343 ever makes. Come off it, this is good too, maybe even better than Bungie’s stuff.

If you have already explained to them why they are gone, and the negative impacts that they have on gameplay, and they refuse to acknowledge that AAs were removed for the better…The it seems they are beyond saving!

Simply brandish them with the mark of shame, and move on. When H5 Guardians comes, the weight of their heresy will stay their feet, and they shall miss out.

Tell them Halo is adding customizable mechs that can use 40mm cannons or chainguns, plus (plot twist) the mechs themselves armor abilities! Oh yes, and there are three different types of mechs, parkour is now used to climb up buildings, and you can autolock onto people with an intelligent pistol, and I’m talking about Titanfall. But that’s besides the point, just get them back so they may see the fun, true nature of the game that we’ve learned to appreciate.

Call them filthy casuals, CoD kids, scrub-scum, etc. over text message, then never speak to them again.

This is srs bsnss after all.

I do love me some Titanfall action.

Boy have been there, believe me.

I’ve got one friend in particular that started playing during Reach and keeping him around to enjoy what this franchise has in store for him has been one battle after another. He’s easily offended, has no respect for competitiveness, and is all about the most superficial of things when it comes to this game. “Sigh”, but I love him for it.

After AAs were confirmed gone (Active camo in particular) he didn’t want anything to do with Halo 5. It took a while but I eventually got it into his head that AC will probably return in the form of a power up that if he can learn to memorize the spawn of for each map he can have a much more effective version of it all to himself. God help me if power ups aren’t in Halo 5.

Don’t get me started on ranking systems. My little brother hated Halo 4’s and it wasn’t because it was short and linked to weapon unlocks, it was because he preferred the names that Reach had for it’s system. It was only recently he actually decided to finish it (would’ve been a lot faster if he hadn’t chosen Pioneer last). How superficial is that?!

And I’ve got this one other friend that just couldn’t stick around and get a good string of matches done. I asked him why and he told me that he hated the feet on the SIV armor. And then there’s this one other that hates the shape of the MK V helmet. Really? What the hell is… wait, I’m getting off track.

Anyways back to the first friend. At the moment I’m trying to convince him to get the MCC. I told him his Elites are in it and there’ll be plenty of BR’s but he isn’t interested because of the lack of assassinations in the older games. God help me if Halo 5 doesn’t have assassinations. He just isn’t interested in the solid, fair game play that’s being offered to him, he’s openly stated that he doesn’t think it’s fair that the lesser man losers, so for now I’m trying to lure him in with the small amount of meaningless trinkets these games have which is difficult because these older games can’t compete with the trinkets of games today. Once he’s in I hope that his mind will begin to open to what Halo’s game play is about because I’m beginning to realize he hasn’t got a clue.

By next week I’m sure I’m going to have to be convincing him that the new weapon designs aren’t gonna ruin his “immersion and experience”.

It’s good to vent.

Anyways as to the OP’s strife. Which AAs are your friends gonna miss exactly? If it’s AC I guess the same argument that I made to my friend could work for yours.

Everybody having friend options, tell them about the difference between Halo 5 and other triple-A shooters nowadays. Or at least the one they’ll be interested in. In Titanfall, CoD AW, and (I think) the new Doom, you can use a thruster-like ability to climb walls, run around and things such as that, right? (Also remind them Halo 4 started the thruster trend) Well, Halo 5 will be different. In Halo 5, you use the thrusters to beat the living -Yoink- out of people.

Personally, I think that’s better.

Tell them that Halo’s just not their game. It’s the truth.
