I need help!

I have been playing FFA for quite some time now, and my matches have been really bad as a champion. I don’t know how this is possible but I do great some days and bad other days. I believe it is my aim, I tend to panic and mess up when targeting a specific player when getting shot at. My current sensitivity is 5,2 and I feel comfortable with it. I just need some tips at aiming, I KEEP PANICKING! Do I deserve champ, probably not but I need some tips to get better with my aim.

As a champ ranked player, you may not get too much advice from majority of players in the forums. I suggest going to Vetoeds stream or YT and asking him as he is a god like rumble player and has been ranked champ #1. Also, I have noticed the same thing and discovered that if you use a battery pack in the back of the controller and it gets low, your aim assist is way off. I started using regular batteries and never bad issue with my aim afterwards. It’s weird because no other game feels that way but with Halo, I will bet my life that a bad or low battery messes up your aim. Try it out

My only tip is try and avoid using the pistol up super close. Also watch a few of proximitys videos

I don’t know why it happens but sometimes the sensitivity does feel off. I’ll try and switch from my battery packs to see if it changes anything.

What helped me was decrease my sensitivity. I used to primarily play on 6-10 from Halo 2 onwards, but when trying to just practice my aim for Halo 5, lowering my sensitivity helped me out a lot. I play with my sensitivity now between 3-5 with acc. set at 5 already (I messed around with 2 and 3 for a long time, but settled with 5). I change my sensitivity higher/lower depending on how I’m doing in the match.

Like others have said, I might lower my sensitivity. While I’m not the best shot, my accuracy increases if I drop my sensitivity, especially acceleration. I played on 7 in Halo Reach, but I use either 3 or 4 sense and 1 or 2 acc in h5

I use 3.5 and 3.5 for both of my senses.

Though you’re comfortable with your sensitivity you should lower it because it’s way too fast for FFA. Try keeping track of every player by knowing all the starting spawns eighter by watching in theatre or looking on forge to know where everyone is in the beginning. Of course, everything is messed up when someone quits and if they do oh well. If you know where everyone is, hear the gunshots, and look at the side constantly you will know who dies and knowing where everyone else is you will know where they will spawn. After that, it’s up to you to spot them before they spot you and get first shot and kill them. I fully believe any diamond player can reach champ in FFA because the population is low and full of other diamond players. All you have to do in FFA is finish in top 3 though you should go for 1st every time. FFA’s ranking basically depends on how long you play. If there are two people who rank diamond 3 and one plays longer than the other most likely he will reach champ first. So, just play longer, as for your shot. Lower your sensitivity, remove deadzones, change accel to 1, and octagon.
