No matter what notification I choose, nothing happen. Just the notifications for private messages work.
I also don´t know what this options are that I have that leave when I clear my browser.

I think that email notifications were disabled a while back in an attempt to solve server issues, but I’m not certain.

Those four options are:
Additional Topic Columns
Determines whether the “Replies” and “Last Post” columns are visible, when browsing forum sections.
Last Post on Forums
Determines whether the forum index shows the last post in each section.
Thank Details on Posts
Determines whether each post displays a list of the users that have Thanked it.
Menu on Each Post
Determines whether each post’s list of actions (reply, quote, etc.) is visible by a default, or hidden behind a “Menu” button.
