I NEED ANSWERS ABOUT THE CSR 50 QUICK

First off, I want to say good job to 343 for finally getting the CSR out, its a step in the right direction.

NOW, THE PROBLEM: So i got my 50 in Team Snipers yesterday, played 1 game on it and placed 1st on the winning team AND RANKED DOWN to a 49! The next game i got 1st place on the winning team and got the 50 back but it left me with a spoiled stomach and QUESTIONS for 343.

So please, someone for 343 ( staff, owner, or forum junkie) PLEASE ANSWER ME THIS. Can you not play on and/or lock in a 50 in the Individual ranking playlists? If so i will be extremely disappointed once again. You should NEVER rank down after winning a game lol

Post Game individual rankings should go as such:

WINNING TEAM: 1st
2nd
3rd
4th
LOSING TEAM: 5th
6th
7th
8th

where 4th place will not rank down but would rank up at a 1/4th of the speed as 1st place, and 5th place would not rank up but would rank down at a 1/4th of the speed as 8th place

Thanks 343! Please look into and consider this CORRECT option. AGAIN, You should not be able to RANK DOWN off of a first place win

im sure its 343s staff thats picking yes lol this game is sooo broken. i lose my 50 after getting 1st place on the winning team hahaha

Read critically. He was not clear, however he meant that he got his 50, THEN played one game just after getting it, and THEN deranked.

I don’t think they got a 50 after one game. I think they mean they played one game whilst on a CSR of 50.

To the OP, what was the game like before you noticed the change on this website? Don’t forget the CSR on this site is always one game BEHIND your actual CSR.

thank you sarcasm for your helpful post and no my 50 was not in 1 game lol it took about 40-45 wins in a row

If you can not rank down, it is just another progression system.

Just because it may still be shaky right now does not mean it needs to be altered, just patched up

if this is a Microsoft system why’d it take 343 so long to implement it? This whole time I thought they were developing their own ranking system and that’s why it took so long.

Coming top of your team doesn’t always mean you played well. In many games, I finish 2nd or 3rd while the guys above me have negative spread. Either way, I don’t think there’s a whole lot in CSR with regards to matching you up with players of similar skill.

I myself had a 43 in Action Sack… Won 5 Games in a row taking 1st and 2nd in everygame and winning every game and still deranked a level every win… WTF

-Yoink!- people, read the -Yoinking!- Bulletin already!!! -.-

Those playlists you play are tracking INDIVIDUAL scoring. Means, even if your team won, if you played -Yoink- in this match YOU will decrease. Simple as nothing else.

And don’t come with the question “Why is it tracking individual scoring whilst it it TEAM Slayer or stuff”. Also answered in the Bulletin.

Just so you are aware, 343 will be resetting everyone’s CSR rank back to Level 1, every once in a while. So I wouldn’t be to concerned about keeping the 50. (For now at least).

And about any “problems” with the CSR, remember it has only been out for a short amount of time, so it will have it’s fair share of quirks… But once 343 gets the kinks worked out, it will be all good! Hopefully by the Next title update we get, Weapon Balancing, Improved 1-50 system, Bug/Glitch fixes, and Updated Playlists.

That’s the short answer.

The source is MM Systems Team:

“CSR is not an average over all your games.
It’s a number that changes in every single game. Earlier games make it change more, partly because we have no history to trust, but even after establishing your CSR, it definitely changes every game. If the change isn’t large enough to move you a whole step, you won’t see it though.
Any player that wins / loses more / less than 50/50 (or consistently places above / below the middle in individual-style playlists) will see their CSR change. If you want your CSR to go up, you have to win more than lose, or place above the middle.”

Yeah, it’s really stupid that you can’t lock in a 50 or general or whatever, something that proves you got there. I want to try, but after getting to 50 I’m kinda done with the whole Tryhard part…csr sucks

The CSR rank thing seems to lag one game, you may have lost or was not the top player in the game before the game you just mentioned.

I don’t think the entire losing team should be punished though. For instance if you do the quite well with 20 or so kills on your losing team but your back pack wasn’t big enough, you should not get less credit than the guy who got carried to victory with 5 kills.
