I need Advice

Hello everyone I have been recently lagging out of my multiplayer matches do to my -Yoink- router. I am not some sort of technical guy so I’m just asking if anyone could help me out and comment some suggestions of some high performance routers not to pricey.

motorola makes some decent ones

is your xbox hardwired to your router?

Dang. I’m not an expert on that. I got mine from Costco, so you can try there if you have a membership. It’s a Belkin Router.

Yea motorolla makes some good ones, so does netgear (that’s what I use). I would avoid Cisco though, I had trouble with the connection dropping.

Also, make sure your NAT is open. There are plenty of tutorials on the internet, but first contact your ISP and ask them to make sure your Modem is in Bridge mode. If it’s giving off a signal it could cause conflict, and you can’t get an Open NAT if it’s not in Bridge mode anyways. Also, wired connection is always more stable than a wireless one, so try that if you aren’t already.

Hardwire your Xbox. If you can’t run a line, use a Powerline adapter. TP Link makes a decent priced set that works great. Direct connection to your modem is best but a router with at least 200mbps will get the job done just fine. But aim for at least 500. Personally, I always stick with Linksys.

Really appreciate it thank you

Hardwire does seem to work a lot better for me and my computers. But sometimes it is the server
