It needs to be optional, protect the console players from pc hackers. I never asked for or wanted Crossplay!

Ranked doesn’t include the option to disable crossplay. It only limits input methods. If you choose the controller only solo/duo playlist, you’re still playing crossplay. Meaning you can run into just as many hackers on controller.

We definitely need the option to choose crossplay with PC or not. Forcing players is never a good choice imo.

Pls 343 I can’t rank up in this game. That hacker I played against in Fiesta 3 weeks ago is the sole reason I’m not a 2000 Onyx right now.
People need to look at themselves, firstly, objectively and figure out why they aren’t getting the results they want. Stop trying to scapegoat.
I play on PC and Series X. Crossplay is convenient and a wonderful development in modern gaming. I can play on my platform of choice with friends that maybe don’t have the same options that I do.
It is a shame I can’t use the input I prefer to use due to controller just being infinitely better. Can’t have everything.

you are not the only one that has ask for crossplay.
there is only 1 thing i not understand is why 343i has choise for force crossplay when some years ago a lot of players have make clear there only accept the crossplay system if its a option and not force since there not wane end up with pc cheaters in there lobby’s thats something i still not understand when the points have been make clear back then what the communety has agree on with the crossplay system but still force it.
I have never once noticed “cross play” being an issue of any sort. If it speeds up matchmaking behind the scenes, keep it.
It’s amazing how many PC players there are on these forums.
So many threads calling for an end to crossplay but then they would all have to play in a much smaller pool of players.
Why don’t they want the accuracies brought closer together instead?
The disparity needs addressing we can all agree on that but cutting of your nose to spite your face, is not the answer.

Maybe you are just better with controller than mouse, some people just need to look at themselves first and see why they arent doing so well.
Or… hear me out, it should be optional for everyone, you physically have the option to change input and MANY players do very well with a mouse. But you have the OPTION.
Unlike crossplay which isnt OPTIONAL like your input choice. Forced into things, with issues especially when we was told that crossplay would NEVER BE FORCED and always OPTIONAL.
I can play just fine thankyou, dont attack people because they want a choice. Crossplay causes alot of issues and I would take a longer queue and avoid the issues. Games are instant, I can wait a min for a better game and that should be MY CHOICE.

Like I said that one cheater you met 3 weeks ago in a game is not a justification. If anything crossplay makes it easier for you. Match with a couple of m&k players and enjoy your easy win.
They won’t remove it anyway to appease a few people who can’t handle it when they lose. The numbers released show that’s the top level m&k players, in terms of accuracy, equate to a very average controller player. Are you the kind of person to refute facts and evidence?

It’s very likely cross play also has a hand in the server instability and desync. So there’s a pretty major thing.

Don’t mean to sound like an -Yoink!- but having such strong views based on what you ‘reckon’ instead of evidence. Not the most logical thought process.

No offense taken. I’m not a coding expert nor do I claim to be. But a simple google search shows enough results of other major titles having serious issues with crossplay causing server instability and lag upon inception. That’s at least a precedent. It’s not evidence, but it shouldn’t be immediately dismissed either.

Having an opinion doesn’t make you smart. That’s my entire issue. People, like you, run around the forum talking down to others like they’re some kind of expert.
But that’s a bit offtopic. Basically, crossplay has issues. People have been pretty vocal about it as well so it’s not like you haven’t seen it. You just want to dismiss it immediately.

Oh dear you’re one of those people who see 1 set of stats and just go with it providing it proves your point.
It’s not like those one set of stats are miss leading at all… doesnt show wins, kills, K/D or anything else that actually happens in the game. I also see many mouse players hit high accuracy.
AA is also stronger on PC than console, something that had been shown many times in actual video evidence.
But if you can use 1 set of stats as proof I can use the many examples of how crossplay can negativity affect games. I have seen many games have 0 crossplay then upgrade to crossplay and that’s when many more issues occur.
I check every player when there are server issues, when people start not taking damage theyrr usually on a separate platform. And that’s 1 very big issue.
CROSSPLAY SHOULD ALWAYS BE OPTIONAL. Stop trying to make it seem like I’m hating on a platform because I got killed in a match. I avoid crossplay fue to issues, if had other games go down hill due to crossplay. MICROSOFT stated crossplay would never be FORCED.
It’s all about OPTIONS. why are you so angry people want a choice.

Being forced to play with the PC crowd in competitive games is horrible… fair enough for something like Warframe where it’s almost entirely a co-operative experience but it creates more problems than it solves for fps multiplayer.
