I like halo 5, first off, and I love sprint in halo. But I think the main thing that hurts halo 5 and makes it feel different from old halos to me is the fact that the one on one BR and DMR battles that I loved in old halo are gone.
Yeah the the team play was there in old halo and a lot of the time you had to take on 2 or 3 opponents at once, but alot of the time you got to duel with an opponent with out having to juke around his teammates all the time. Just seems like infinite sprint and boost makes it where you have to fight the entire team in every engagement because it’s so easy to regroup.
Just every now and then I’d like to have a one on one old fashion BR/DMR duel with out worrying out him boosting away. Seems like every kill is just finishing off someone who ran away from one of your teammates.
Please write constructive feed back please. I don’t suck at it and im not complaining. Just seeing what people think about it.
They are definitely few and far between. I dont mind it as much now. H5G seems to be the team combat shooter that many tactical players are looking for. From a competitive stand point, it feels good.
But I agree, itd be nice to have some 1v1 battles more frequently.
yeah that is what makes halo great to me to see how has best accuracy not to see who get’s double teamed first haha i like this halo it’s great but i don’t see the skill in any other player because it is meant to shine on team work halo has always been on team work just not this much even again’ts good teams on halo 3 the 1v1 was always there
I think it is due to the map design of the 2 maps. I don’t care for the cramped congested layout of either map…There are not many firing lanes for longer range battles. Hope to play some larger more open maps that work better with range weapons and sprinting.
That’s why I play BTB exclusively in Halo Reach onward. You run into entire teams after walking 10 feet. Sprint ruins the map flow in 4v4 maps with short sight lines.
Once BTB maps arise this problem won’t be as prominent.

People have been doing that since CE, you mis understood what the OP meant. Every time you get into duel someone on either team will be able to get there right at the end of the duel and finish of the victor instantly due to sprint and effectively gang up on people. Team shooting and sprint interfering with 1v1 duels are two different things.

This is a very team oriented game. Like I said to the other guy, set yourself up for success, stick with a team dont lone wolf it. If you win a one on one, congrats, but get the hell out. Besides the one on ones are few and far in between. It wont happen often and their team is normally near. Just don’t challenge it.

Then don’t put yourself in a position to be ganged up on. Its really as simple as it sounds. Control an area of the map and don’t leave yourself alone.

I dont, they sucked and were boring. If you want one on one lame-o-semi automatic firefights then go fire up the MCC H2,3 or 4 sucka and leave H5 ALONE!

Dont challenge it??? That defeats the point of the game and sometimes you both run into a duel and their teammate comes running from the other end of the map due to sprint and they gang up on you. Working as a team sometimes invilves you spreading out for map control. Plus he’s on about the frequency of the gang ups. People dont mind teams running around in pairs. I find it annoying as the 1v1 duels still existed in halo 1/2/3 which were all just as much team orientated games. Halo 5 is no more or less team orientated. Most if the time I end up killing both of them.

Even team games involve you splitting up, the OP isnt moaning about teaming up its where people can gang up due to sprint allowing them to run to help too quickly.

They sucked??? They were what made Halo Halo and are still the basic combat encounter in halo 5. Halo 4 had the problem even worse.

Ypu cant really put yourself in a position to not be ganged up on in the case of sprint. Sprint allows people to rush from the other side of the map after you’ve just dealt with their teammate. Your not understanding what I mean. Plus having map control doesnt eliminate gang ups.
