I miss the kill cam!

It would be nice to bring back the kill cam like we had in past Halo Games!!

You want to see an out of sync version of what your enemy is seeing and it make you mad when he missing 1/3 of his shots? Theater is bad enough.

Kill cam isn’t going to give you any good info, cycling though your teammate though after you die will give you information for when you respawn.

But if we had the killcam, players can see even more evidence that the game’s networking is still busted.

Just in the last game I had snap-shot a guy in Team Snipers, he didn’t die, shot me to break my shields and then when I went for the melee kill; he suddenly keeled over from the headshot that FINALLY registered a second late.
So there I am, shield broken and one more kill in the match, and the guy messaged me asking how my punch to his face was a headshot.

I then sent him my game clip I saved to show what I was dealing with.

Honestly, would Infinite have better servers if we took some servers away from Halo 5 and put them to use on the newest game?

It would be better if we had our own Dedicated Server Software like had in Halo 1, Halo 2.

Maybe h2 on PC? You pulling host on h2 Xbox matchmaking wasn’t better for anyone but you.

Maybe Im speaking out of my depth, but i think it literally has nothing to do with the amount of servers dedicated to hosting online content. Its more so an issue of how they write protocals for networking and tackle the optimization thereof. Some competitors at hcs champs noted how much more crisp of a response they had on lan versus online, specifically citing beat downs. Today I had an instance where I beat my oponent down and got the audio feedback on my end yet it didnt register and i was gunned down. What we are seeing is simply not synched up well with all other players, like theres a time dialation which may or may not include unregistered inputs

Yes on PC! My right now is 340 down and min I have set at 20 up. I can set my upstream to 30 up if need be. For 24 users is plenty without lag. The average user slot looks like min .around 256k per alot. 25X256k = 6.4 megs. average per game.

Remember! You are "NOT Transmitting Grafix. You are only Transmitting the data only!

Kill cam was money in Halo. I’d definitely enjoy seeing this coming back into infinite! Great idea!

Halo CE wasn’t online tho.

The kill cam only showed up for H4 didn’t it?

Yes but If I recall I think Halo 2 did also. Not sure though!

I was going to say I don’t remember a kill cam, but I barely played H4s multiplayer.

Oh yeah. They might have for halo 2.

Halo CE had a PC port which is probably what he’s talking about.

Only thing the XBox had was XBox Connect, which wasn’t dedicated servers. It was a third party tool tricking it to think you’re playing over a LAN.

As for Kill Cams… Hmmmmmm… I really don’t mind wither they’re in or not honestly…

Oh yeah, I forgot about Gearbox’s days of making “meh” ports.
They did good with Half-Life and designing Opposing Force. But ever since then they went downhill until Borderlands saved them.

I’d rather have the ability to swivel and change zoom levels, on my dead body cam. Like previous games. Why are we locked into just looking at our killer? Not to mention, the strange teammate driving a Warthog view.

I think that was done to prevent callouts from the grave.

You can only see your killer and anyone that happen to be in the camera’s FOV.

You cannot give callouts for the next three seconds until you respawn by looking around and determining where the rest of the enemy team might be.

This new cam mode ruins any limited life mode. Not to mention all the custom games.

Halo 5 still has an active player base man.

I’d rather they stay out. Kill cams do not belong in Halo and I’m happy that 343i stopped using them. We have hit sensors, radar, long kill times, and if we want to over analyze our every death there is theater mode too. I’d rather they spend their time making a PvE mode than going back to making Halo be like COD.
