I miss the Halo rings in Halo's story.

It seems that the story is becoming much less about the Halo rings and much more about everything else. When was the last time we even had a campaign mission on an actual Halo installation ring? Halo 3?

I miss fighting on Halos. The horizons are cool. lol…

Why? Requiem in halo 4 had nearly identical terrain and setting as a halo ring. The only difference was that there wasn’t any snow. What makes a Halo ring so special?

If you love it, put a ring on it. I put a rubber band around my copies of Halo.

Well to be fair…Dragon Ball Z stopped making the dragon balls a main part of the story and then mentioned them less and less. The story was still entertaining. So with Halo in mind, yes the rings are being mentioned less. But we all know what they are. And the story is still interesting.

I agree. There is nothing special about a halo ring anymore. We have been there and done that more than enough.

BS, they gather the dragon balls every time Goku stubs his toe. /s

Allow me to be more specific. Here’s how the Dragon Balls were important in each saga.

Pilaf: Saving the world from Pilaf’s wish for world domination.
Red Ribbon: Preventing RR Army from gathering the balls for world conquest.
King Piccolo: Balls are first to used to return Piccolo to his youth. And then again to revive Roshi, Chaozu and Krillin.
Piccolo Jr.: Roshi explains to Kami that the balls are what brought the Z fighters together, turning enemies to friends and have sparked an adventure otherwise impossible.
Saiyans: Balls are used to bring Goku back to life. Piccolo’s death forces Kami’s death. Which acts as a major turning point in the series.
Namek: The entire saga is literally about gathering the balls before Freeza. They are then used to revive Piccolo and bringing him to help on Namek.
Freeza: Balls are used to revive (almost) every Namekian, Krillin, Tien, Chaozu, (almost Goku) and a forge a new Namek.
Androids: Trunks explains that in the future, since Piccolo/Kami are dead then they have no methods of bringing back any of the people who died to the Androids.
Cell: With Piccolo’s fusion with Kami, the balls once again became inert. They were forced to find a new Guardian who would revive all of Cell’s victims.
Buu: The balls were first used to revive Vegeta’s victims. They are then used to revive earth and it’s people. And to give Goku the strength he needed to finish Buu with the spirit bomb.
Beerus: The balls are used to learn who/what/where regarding the Super Saiyan God.
Revival of F: The balls are first used to revive Freeza, they are later used/planned of use to revive North City after Freeza destroyed it.
(I’m including these two movies because they’re canon.)

And while GT isnt canon anymore (Xenoverse and DB Super consider it and alternate reality.) I’m not going to bother with how the black star dragon balls were udeful for. Or how the ultimate villain of ther series was literally born from the negative energy of the dragon balls.

There was actually snow in several Spartan Ops missions.

Requiem forerunner structures look nothing like the ones on the Halos. Also, it’s always awesome to look at the bg of a Halo going over your head, or being near the wall of the ring.

We only have 6 more rings to destroy. We must destroy them sparingly

How have we been there done that more than enough? The Halo games have barely even taken place on a halo. Halo 1 was obviously almost entirely set on a halo, but Halo 2 wasn’t even half on halo I believe, Halo 3 had one lousy halo level, ODST was on Earth, Reach was on Reach, Halo Wars never set foot on a halo, and Halo 4 gave us a look at a halo and nothing more. So out of the 7 main games we’ve had a grand total of like 1.5 games worth of halo time. So yeah, bring the halos back!

Yep that seems more than enough for me personally. Also 7 main games? There are 4 main games as of now, and a fifth coming soon. The others are spin-offs.

hmm… I consider Reach a main game at least, because it’s story led to the beginning of CE, it had it’s own matchmaking, and has one monster of a Forge. A full Halo in my opinion.

Just because it is a “full Halo” does not make it a main series game. Also regardless of whether you consider it a main series game or not is irrelevant, because it is a spin-off, no questions about that.

The Halo rings are not needed right now in the history of the new trilogy, to be honest, sometimes I feel that his appearances on the original trilogy were somewhat forced, we always tried to stop the activation of a Ring in every game. I like exploring new places, especially those who are of Forerunner-origin. In addition, Sanghelios is beautiful visually.

There’s a lot more places in the Halo universe to explore other than halos. E.g. we’re visiting Sanghelios in H5. And as long as the franchise keeps living we could find ourselves on another halo eventually.

Honestly it was pretty obvious bungie was out of ideas of making important plots on a halo.

h2 we see pretty much an expansion of the library, some random temple structure, and the control room again.

h3 was just the control room again, plus incomplete sections.

And Delta Halo’s structures looked nothing like Alphas.

I can agree with OP with the skybox thing.

Why is this a problem?
