I don’t know about any of you guys but I seriously miss fighting the Flood in Campaign. I know they’ve gotten a lot of hate in the past but I honestly enjoyed them. The challenge of trying to survive hordes of those things was exciting. Now imagine a firefight mode in H6 where you have to fight these hordes of Flood while simultaneously trying to complete objectives while set in a Flood type themed map and THIS song is playing while fighting them.
The flood just made me so damn angry. I don’t miss them at all. I don’t find it fun to have to run past whole sections to finish a level. That’s just me though. In all likelihood the flood will return because of Halo Wars 2. Halo wars 2 sees the return of the spirit of fire, a ship that has been floating around since before halo 1. The crew is in cryosleep and there is a flood spore shown on board the ship in one of the halo comics. Because Halo wars 2 takes place around the events of halo 5, its entirely possible that the flood will return.
The prometheans need to go and the flood need to be brought back.

I miss them too. And im sure their coming. Im sure the flood have something to do with the way cortana is acting. Itd be nice to see some firefight content with flood prior to 6s release.
