Just wanted to say that I miss the H5 multiplayer so much. The weapon sandbox was amazing, and large, and chaotic. Warzone was fun and always hectic. Arena was tight. Fiesta was a blast. Idk why halo infinite just feels so much worse.

You can still find matches but yeah I wish they still did rotating game modes like they always did since launch

I still play Halo 5 to this day, it’s honestly the best Halo MP ever made. Halo Infinite in general is such a massive down grade off of Halo 5 I’m surprised more people don’t talk about it.
Infinite really does feel worse though, in just about every aspect. You aren’t the only one.

Personally I think 343 should kill support for Infinite, and do what they do best: Spin off Halo games. HEY BONNIE, GREENLIGHT THAT HALO MEGABLOX GAME ALREADY!!!

It’s been a full year since I hit 152 in Halo 5 and I van honestly say I’ve not even come close to booting it up again. I really did love its MP for a while, but it just got so grindy by the end

I mean I don’t really like Skywalker Saga mainly because it’s kind of bad. There are more meme characters than useful characters, the open world doesn’t really do it for me, the missing character creator just means the game gets stale faster, and the story levels are way too short.
The Complete Saga on the other hand, lives up to its name.
If we got a Halo Megablox game as good as The Complete Saga was for Lego Star Wars I’d be a very happy Halo fan.

Technically Halo 5 was the best multiplayer. Community wise and popularity? No.
But it had the most content, constant updates to maps and gameplay mechanics, rotating modes, mass amounts of armors and cosmetics, and with the forge ALSO being the best forge obviously, it had the best custom browser and action sack mode along with community forge maps added into the BTB. No doubt anyone who disagrees just never played Halo 5 and just stuck on Halo Reach.

I love Halo 5 with Warzone Firefight being the mode I miss the most. However, I’m optimistic a Firefight mode in general will make its way to Infinite over time. Overall, Halo 5 is an incredible game in my opinion. Campaign included.

It’s so different because the game sandbox is drastically different. Pistol and Battle Rifle starts are different.

I still play Halo5 5~6 times per week, and maybe 1~2 times on Infinite.

They took away Grifball and now there are Company Commendations which are no longer able to be completed.
Not to mention because there’s no 4v4 Assault gametype (only BTB) that’s ANOTHER commendation we can’t complete.

And that is an understatement. I much would rather play Thrillville: Off the Rails than this!

im gonna be real, I miss it too. even with all the bull it came with, when all the updates went through, it was an honestly fun game.
even when it was on its way out it was still fun. getting the bois together for either warzone, or grinding to 152.
Now its honestly a ghost town. getting games is like throwing weighted die that’s not in your favor, and if I’m right partying up makes it worse (unless you do full teams in warzone or firefight). I lurk around customs (if I’m not on customs, then I’m probably on MWZFF), but even then its like 1 in 20 games that give a small taste of how it used to be.
its sad. its honestly sad. I do sort of hope there is some form of resurgance in the playerbase. Infinite is crashing faster then 5, and MCC might follow with the introduction of micro…like imagine they come around and rehaul the game; change the lootboxes to where they take out cosmetics and unlocks, make a shotty progression system, and req cards are just dumped depending on kills and way way more in the packs.
This is ideally what I want for a massive update to Halo 5:
- A PC port and Xbox Series X|S optimizations. This has been requested for a long time now and needs to happen. There should be ZERO excuses for this to not happen. Period.
- New DLC campaign focusing on Blue Team (even if it has to be set before the first mission Osiris)
- Overhaul of REQ packs to the point where
- FOV slider
- Custom button mappings
- Fixes to various bugs and crashes that have been happening for a while now
- Per-piece customization following Infinite’s model but better
- Something similar to MCC’s Matchmaking Composer but improved to where the player can select what maps they want to play on and maps they want to avoid
- Ability to choose ANY one of the 8 playable Spartans in both co-op and solo campaign - this also means that the forced Chief and Locke restriction should be removed altogether (in the case of solo, only once the player has completed all campaign missions on solo)
- Ability to unlock the campaign armor sets in multiplayer (Centurion, Helljumper, Hunter, Copperhead, Hermes, Argus, and Technician) by playing as any of the campaign Spartans in co-op and completing a mission as said character - there should also be a change to these aforementioned armor sets that allows the player to look exactly like that Spartan in the campaign, coloring and textures and all
- Mark VI MOD armor set for Multiplayer as a reward for completing the campaign on Legendary
- Customizable voice for MP Spartans - this should also include the 8 campaign Spartans as options
- Make the Achilles armor unlockable again (killing off Spartan Companies was and still IS a fatal mistake and should be undone)
And more improvements that I couldn’t fit here.
