I remember when I was first introduced to grenade jumping, (and halo for that matter) by one of my friends. Halo 2. He was showing me how to get the skull on one of the first levels. Not saying it is necessary for halo 5 exactly but I do miss some of these silly exploits.
I didn’t even know it wasn’t present in H5 lol. Shows you how much I know!

yeah, but with the thruster packs and the ADS hover smart scope thing, there are still cool exploit jumps you can do

Yeah jump + stabilize + ground pound = reaching impossible places

yeah, you can hover for miles, you only have to look at some of the community parkour maps to see this
This though. I actually used to use it in multiplayer at times, often having the luck of an enemy immediately eagle-eyeing me from across the map for an easy kill but hey.
On the subject of using a weapon to launch yourself, I miss the Concussion Rifle.
I loved using it in Reach and H4 to quickly launch myself over enemy players. It was so underused that most players didn’t really expect it. Of course, the self-damage you dealt made firefights a tad difficult if you were outnumbered.
Either way, it made for some fun times.
Why miss it?
It’s all in your timing with the Hover or Ground Pound abilities, and area effect explosions from grenades, hammers, rockets, missiles, etc.

Toss a grenade at your feet, then groundpound where you threw the nade, if your timing is right you will launch straight up.
I mean it was cool but I don’t necessarily miss it i guess?
Other people posted it, grenade jump is in but different. Grenade and groundpound.
It was fun to reach difficult places using the grenade jump in campaigns of c and 2. but now it is not much needed, in fact as the scenarios of the campaign no longer allow as much exploration as previous games I think.
But fortunately still can be done in tmcc
I tried a grenade jump once. I blew up.
Like I said guys, I know its not necessary for H5 but there was just something about getting a perfectly times jump that made me feel like a bad@**
Play CE or H2 lol
