I Miss Armor Effects

I know I’ll probably get fire bombed for this, but I’m doing it anyway.

I miss armor effects. I know a lot of people hated it, but I thought it added some flavor to Halo: Reach that was much needed. I wanna spark with electricity like a boss. I wanna glow like a super saiyan. I want to have armor effects back.

I’ll admit, I occasionally miss the comic value of seeing people think they’re hidden in bushes with lighting crackling over their head.

The after-death ones were annoying (Except for the confetty) and the always active ones were pure status symbols that made you more visible to your opponents.

I’m glad they were left out.

Mkay, but now what kind of armor effects would you use? If any at all? The Reach ones were clearly not your cup of tea, but if 343 implemented armor effects of a different sort, what kind would you use?

I thought they were kinda fun, but I don’t think they would work well in Halo 4.

That depends what you mean by a different sort. I would rather have my Armor effect be presented when I kill someone, like everyone I kill goes through the disintegration animation but with confetty, every headshot causing someone’s head to explode, Lightning lingering on someone I killed’s corpse, etc.

Grunt Birthday annoyed me, especially when hearing it every five seconds. I enjoyed my flaming Legendary helmet, though.

I dislike the idea.

So silly and childish, along with annoying in-game. They also looked bad.

Happy to see them left out.
