Please do not link any of the armor customizations to milestones and specific achievements in old games. For example, cqb and police helmet variations have requirements that must be in met stone age halo games. Really, this a new trilogy and it should only link to Halo 4; the latest I may take is Reach…
I’m for y’all that still have most of the games, but really, I refuse to go back in time for a challenge like pink mist in odst or all legendary campaign for odst …
Just no.
I really liked the concept of armour being unlocked by milestones, it was a nice way to reward players of past Halo games.
In plus, it’s not like the achievements needed were that tough either, and they were things most people already did anyway.
Opinion, good for stating it.
I don’t care that much. Cough 100% Achievements on Halo 3, ODST, and 1 missing on Reach Cough
It’s just those few achievements that I some how seem to miss and oh look, that achievement happens to be part of an armor customization in the next installment.

You could always just go back and do them if you really wanted to have the armour, it wouldn’t take that long.

I don’t mind, as long as those Achievements are REALLY -Yoinking!- EASY TO GET, like:
Roadkill: H2V “Run over, hit and kill an opponent with a vehicle”
Air Traffic Control: H2V “Blow up the Banshee in flight while manned, with grenades or the rocket launcher”
Carjacking: H2V “Steal an occupied vehicle from an opponent and take it over”
Tank Dropper: Halo 3 “On a Mythic map, got a kill on another player while in monitor mode.”
Too Close to the Sun: Halo 3 “Destroyed a banshee with the spartan laser or missile pod in a ranked playlist or in campaign.”
Achievements like those, and not have armor locked to one achievement, but have 2 or 3 achievements you can pick from. That way it’s fair for every one.

Yea I could care less cough 295/297 Halo achievements. All but 2 Halo Wars achievements that im working on as we speak. cough. I must be coming down with a cold or something lol
OT: I personally love achievement hunting, but I completely understand that others don’t. I would agree with you that they shouldn’t take any achievements from the old game and require you get them to get an armor permutation. However, in the future, I would expect them to do that for ONLY 343i made games.

No, it should be like All Alone.
Defiant: Was the last surviving uninfected player in a matchmade Infection game.
Cause it’s definitely possible to play infection on a Defiant Map…
Sob The one achievement I don’t have on all my Halo games Sob

Yea simple achievements would be nice, well it depends. It’s bad enough that I odsts are weak and that I had a hard time with heroic. Legendary, really, haha can’t sprint threw a block of brutes and 3 shot kill ghosts. They did a good job with putting your feet into the shoes of an odst.

Yeah, I gave up my games lol. I asked my friend if I could borrow his rusty halo 3, he’s not even sure if he can find it lol.
I really don’t want anything tied to previous games either, mainly because of microsoft and not understanding people move country.
Had to make a new gamertag because you cannot change the region of gamertags, bye bye every achievements in every halo game that had them, including H2V and HW…

Wow that sucks… All most as bad as buying a copy of StarCraft 2, installing it, and then finding out you can’t play because your account is in a different region for some odd reason, and you have to spend 3 days to get it fixed. Which happened to me. >.>
Regions are down right annoying, I really wish they would only limit people to regions if they’re trying to find a game server, not where they can use their gamer tags.
I never knew that accounts were confined to regions. I thought you’d be able to use it anywhere.
> I never knew that accounts were confined to regions. I thought you’d be able to use it anywhere.
Yeah, I’ve never heard of any issues with account region problems… Again, I find it really stupid that there is limited region support for Gamer Tags, you’d think they’d be able to use Gamer Tags world wide, and the only region limits are the games, as long as you play a game on a Xbox from the same region…

Hmm, that could be a problem then… That’s quite unfortunate.
I prefer that armor be tied to achievements and attaining certain rank.
Then it becomes more a status symbol.
Work hard at certain achievement get rewarded.
Work even harder at achieving a higher rank, get more rewards.
The idea is to reward people for getting the achievements the developers create as well as playing a lot in the game to get other rewards.
If you had access to everything upfront you’d (general you, not anyone in particular), would get bored of the stuff and none of it would seem particularly special.
Now, I am however against store specific pre-order bonuses. For instance if there is armor only available from Best Buy Pre-orders, then another for GameStop, then another for (insert another store name here), well that would just be downright unfair. There’s no way I’d pre-order a $60 game just to get all the exclusive store armor parts. A special pre-order armor that encompasses all stores so that it doesn’t matter where you get it from is okay.
Providing that armor is eventually made available to the masses, either as a payable DLC or by some in-game accomplishment (not achievement).
