There may still be some surprises left in store for us today. I was kind of hoping they would stop trying to be coy and just outright give us an answer as to what the cap is, instead of ‘loljustplay’. Instead all I see on the front page is a bunch of home made Guilty Sparks, and what amounts to an ad for an MLG tournament, and their new smart phone app.
Gotta hand one thing to Bungie, at least they didn’t beat around the bush when it came to telling us stuff.

It just seems wierd the cap hasn’t increased. If it’s a glitch, why wouldn’t 343 come out and say it.
If it’s working as intended, why would BS angel post that the cap is increased in last week’s Halo Bulletine.
The whole issue seems so illogical i just can’t make sense of it.

It appears credits from custom challenges can cause your total to exceed the cap, but if you then play Reach later that day it will take off the extra credits.

Yeah this is because of custom challenges. Basically if you get custom challenges that would take you over the cr cap (120k cr), and you are still online when you recieve the cr earned from a custom challenge, you credits will decrease until your gained cr amount for that given day is 120k. Put simply, if your credits decrease, it’s because you are online and reached the cr cap of 120k.
In your post you mention you gained 85k this morning, if you did the halo waypoint terminal thing that also has the same effect as a custom challenge. My guess is that you gained let’s say 140k cr for that day, and by playing a MM game, the game reduces your cr to get you back to 120k.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s kind of funny that BS Angel dropped a little clue in the weekly update? She said that today is the 343 day of the year. I bet the Cr Cap gets increased to 343k today.
I don’t know about this one guys. I thought I got close to the old cR cap, and then something weird happened. It showed me earning cR after a match, but they didn’t add to my total cR.
I reset my xbox thinking it was a glitch, then changed my time zone and found that I was able to accumulate cR now. But I never got the “You have reached the online cR cap” message.
This is all a mystery.

Thanks, what i did last night was a bit of target locator Oni (about 19k) and also i have 3 MM custom challenges that are going to be ended in a few minutes. This morning i played anniversary classic all the time till i reach “the credit cap” and -blam!.
I started the day with 2,547,336 just capped out at 2,317,992. I had some customs in there too, i am guessing its 240,000. I will try again tomorrow to see if its the same results.
Keep the community posted. I would like to know what the CR cap is.

if it’s really 135,343 CR, that would be pretty, uhm, strange. Why increase it so little?
I have a theory. This weekend’s Super Jackpot is 15,343 cR. Bungie and later 343i have said that Super Jackpots do not count towards the Credit Cap. In the past, those who hit the cap have said this is false, that the Super Jackpots do count towards the cap.
Perhaps this aspect of the credit cap was fixed this week. Thus, the cap is still 120K, but the OP also got a Super Jackpot, so he earned 120,000 + 15,343 = 135,343.
It appears to me that 343i honestly thought they had successfully raised the cap above 120K, but something unexpectedly remains to be done. As has been said in other threads, it would be nice if there was an official recognition of the problem and an assurance that they are working on it.
