So this just happened. I’m on my laptop reading and I get a email notification from halo insider, and the little preview window says “hello spartan”. Immediately I freak out, knocking that chair over in excitement thinking it was info on flights.
I wasn’t wrong
It turned out to be just info on how flights will work.
still my reaction to a email saying hello spartan was pretty funny. So yah I may be a bit to excited for halo mcc pc.
Though since my halo service record is not as amazing as others, and that I play on a gaming laptop probably means I’m very, very low priority for flights.
Anyone see themselves as way to excited for Halo MCC Pc or had a reaction to that email similar to mine?
I had the same reaction at first with the disappointment felt after realizing what I read. Edit: I too have a PC laptop. I bet they focus on certain rigs to see it works. So it isn’t about how powerful the rig is, but more can it run
I also have a laptop, I think they will choose people with low specifications (gtx 1050) and others with high specifications like RTX 2080, all to see how the game works. I am obviously very excited, I can not wait until the end of the month

I wouldn’t worry. Your reaction is completely… natural. Yes, let’s go with that.
And I wouldn’t worry too much about whether or not you get chosen for any flights this early. Each game has different specifications and requirements, so you might qualify for one game but not another. I the end, however, all of the flight data will end up being used by 343 and Microsoft to determine the minimum required specifications for each game when they are released. At the very least, Halo 3 will probably be the easiest one, since that game doesn’t have an Anniversary edition and was originally released back in 2007, meaning that it may have the lowest required specifications of any of the games, so your gaming laptop will hopefully not keep you excluded when flighting begins for Halo 3.
I am very excited too. To be in the loop and get some information maybe earlier than the public is also rewarding for me, even if I am not in any flights.

Yep, same here. Would be nice to participate before release though.

Uh…
A GTX 1050 ain’t low.
Granted it’s not as powerful as an RTX 2080 but it’s still not low.

but im an elite, not a spartan. TRIGGERED
to be more relevant, though, I too find my self more excited for the MCC on pc and its flights right now than i even am for infinite. infinite is still a ways off, but mcc on PC is NOW!
I wouldn’t worry about getting picked for flight testing because of running a low-end rig. They will have to test minimum system requirements to find out what rigs will be able to run the final build of MCC. You’ll definitely get picked for one of the flights for sure.

intel hd graphics maybe is low? :v
I think we’re all a bit excited to get into a flight of MCC for PC.
It’ll be interesting to see where things are at.

Integrated graphics would definitely be low. Might be able to run Halo CE and 2 depending on how the anniversary versions are handled.

gtx 1050 is not low. Mid-tier maybe. I have a 970M which is on the lower side, but I see what you’re saying. In anycase maybe something good will come of my 970M for once
I almost flipped out when I saw it but I was disappointed when I realized it wasn’t access into the flight program. Still, that is a good sign since if the flight program was months off they likely wouldn’t have sent that email out. I’m also on a laptop but that’s not neccassiraly a bad thing. 343 is probably going to be getting a variety of systems so a laptop could actually bump you to the front of the line instead of the opposite.

Personally, I’d always recommend dedicated graphics on a laptop. It’s a bit pricier but totally worth it.

Using intel HD would indeed be a fight… for fps!

yes of course, but some older laptop you can not change the video card in laptop gamer if you can
I find you never get things by being too eager. So when I get emails from halo I play it cool. Sometimes I leave it there unread for a few hours. I’m in no rush, I have better things to do. Other times I’ll delete the email without even reading it. Let it sit there in the trash for a while. Then I restore it once it knows its place. I email the staff here every day telling them not to pick me because I’m wayyyyyy too busy. Later I will delete my account to really make my point.

Usually not. If you buy some over priced gaming laptop then you might get something that should be standard.
Just another loss from the thinness thing all laptop companies are pushing.
