I’m going to say something positive

Halo Infinite is the first game in a while that I actually enjoy playing so much that I look forward to playing more of it after I get off work.

Not sure so much why that is, but the game feel is a big contributor. I just like the overall experience so far.

Once they fix the glitches and deal with the cheating it really will be a great game. Campaign is tons of fun and I’ve been loving it so far.

Idk man, I just feel like complaining about the entire thing when only some issues are a problem gets old. Of course we need less cringeworthy shop and paywall stuff, but that’s certainly not gamebreaking. The battle pass isn’t the worst one I’ve ever seen by any means, and with campaign you can get some really nice armor and weapon skins, emblems and nameplates, etc. so unless you’re a person obsessed with collecting every possible armor customization option, it shouldn’t be a big deal. I get that lots of those people exist though, and I’m sorry it’s such a bad deal for them right now.

Before Infinite released, I had gotten bored of so many games, there werent many that enjoyed playing, Valorant was fun but i just never found it super fun. Destiny 2 was good for a while, but i only play the game when a new dlc comes out. Fortnite sucks, as does Warzone/COD. I played alot of Skyrim. I got into Genshin Impact and played the hell out of it for a good amount of time. But after playing the Halo Infinite flights, i only craved Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. MCC was fun but Infinite just felt so good, no matter how buggy it was. I dont know if its because its a new game or because its Halo specifically, but I find Infinite super fun, so fun that when campaign came out, I only played that, with a bit of multiplayer. Exploring in the open world campaign was so fun, especially with the grapplehook. Almost 100% it on heroic but stopped to finish the story cause I was too invested to not continue. Im really glad this game is out, and cant wait for more things to be added to this game, as well as have the bugs be fixed of course.

I’m jealous. I only felt that way with every other Halo. Not this one

I didn’t the first couple of days. But once I got a feel for how all the weapons work and the map layouts etc I actually looked forward to playing them. I felt confident that I could use the sidekick appropriately without getting dunked on, like I could control power weapons on the maps, win pinch fights when I needed to, etc. it’s a game that really rewards rubbing dirt in it and walking it off when you get a bad round

there are definitely things i want to see changed but when i was watching the live streams all i could see was pain in their faces and it made me really sad… i wish as a community we were alot nicer to them while we ask for changes so the dev can have fun working on this game

so far iv spent £160 on infinite so its not like im a free player i want this game to succeed but not at the cost of the devs

I was really excited to play Infinite’s Campaign to see if maybe this old writer would make the storyline better, but the more “story”(or audio logs) I kept finding made me less and less excited. It was more of a deja vu feeling back to Halo 4/5’s Campaign, where I was just disappointed the whole game. So much story got forgotten and left behind in favor of a new plot which kind of makes the old lore of Halo questionable now… almost like all of these books and games we’ve been reading/playing for 20 years has been for nothing.

I also enjoyed the open-world part of Infinite, but it honestly needed more content. There just wasn’t enough to do, and what you do get is repeated over and over and over. The Brutes/Elites/Grunts all look the same with minor color changes, they all react very similarly to the old games too, only relying on stronger shields, Aimbots and Wallhacks for higher difficulties instead of better strategies to defeat the player. Even the Skimmers are reskinned Drones…

I really tried to enjoy Infinite, but with its MP being so drastically changed and now the Campaign following the same path… 343 just seems so lost and confused with what they actually want to do with Halo.

I like the gameplay in Infinite, but it gets boring quickly.
If there was Forge and custom games matchmaking (and custom games weren’t as buggy) or Firefight, I might not worry too much about the cosmetics and the challenges to gain XP with, but right now, there’s not much else to do.
The playlists being added was good to spice up the game though.

I agree 100%. Been playing during lunch breaks and at night after the kids go to bed.

Few games fit that bill for me. Most of them are Halo. Infinite is the frontrunner for the foreseeable future.

bruh you’ve spent over $200 on this game? I’m being sincere, do we need to have an intervention? That’s a lot of money for one game, especially one so new

I’m still just disappointed.
The recent dev reflections gave me some hope.
But I’m tired of feeling like I need to give this company hope. I mean why should I have to feel this way about a new game? Because of unnecessary mis-steps, bad decisions, greed, lacking features, and bad net code?
I haven’t given this company any money for this game yet and won’t for a while most likely.

Yet I still can’t resist the game’s potential. But they need serious changes still. I still have a sour taste in my mouth. But I love Halo. And when they fix it I’ll give them money to support them. But not until. And I won’t give them tons of praises and songs. It doesn’t feel earned yet.
