I see alot, ALOT of complaining, the only valid complaint is how long it takes to level up. Everything else is amazing as hell. This BETA has been out for less than a day. Just enjoy it every one. Infinite has brought me back man, finally. The leveling up definitely needs addressed within the week and yeah some of the armor and customization might be behind a paywall but so what, just don’t buy it. Spend $10 and earn what you can. I’m sure they will implement a way to get the credits. $10 for over a hundred different customization options isn’t bad. And the way this game plays hits the spot atleast for me. Not to mention it’s not FOMO which helps in general Because there’s no rush. I believe alot of people should take a step back… realize that this is a BETA, that the game has been out for 12 hours, not to mention it’s free unless you want the battle pass. I’m sure they will have alot of this fixed and are listening to feed back closely right now. By December 8th when the game was supposed to ship I’m sure we will get a patch that fixes the majority of these problems that are making or breaking the game for some. I really hope to see this game do better than the last couple Halos and so far for me it is. I hope to see you Spartans out there Tbagging each other and enjoying the actual game instead of it’s cosmetic flaws.
H3 to me is still Goated. I dont see infinite being on the same level as H1,2,3.
I’m having too much fun to complain. Feels like Halo to me.
Feels like halo to me as well, it’s better than i expected
I’m getting my laptop soon XD my 930MX just won’t run but just from watching the gameplay i can tell that this will be pretty fun
“Spend $10 and earn what you can. I’m sure they will implement a way to get the credits”
Thats exactly the thought process thats so dangerous in f2p games. If you just continue to think that and dont tell them to fix it, theyll think your fine as is and wont do it.
Lots of complaints today are valid, all of which are regarding the monitization.
Progress is so slow to incentivize buying levels.
Armour coatings are bound by core to make you buy multiple of the same colourset
They did say they were working on the progression system, And I know what you mean with everything you are saying, I do however believe that they will make things right in due time. As for now I just hope everyone enjoys the game in it’s BETA form until they fix the issues.
I agree I love this game first halo I’ve enjoyed this much since 3 only complaint I have is leveling too
Reach was so much fun. Sword base. Also the armor choices made the skill at defeating those choices a little more fun and interesting. Camo, Armor lock, Jet Pack… Pure fun.
Reach, Halo 3, Halo 2, Halo 1, Halo 4, Halo 5.
Infinite is already better than 4&5.
I think its fairly extreme to dismiss all complaints outside of the progression system as invalid or describing issues as “cosmetic flaws”. the fact is, from reach moving forward, extensive customization options were the standard. and they were all baked in with the games 60 dollar price tag. the way things look now? expect to pay many times that amount to have a fraction of the options presented in the most RESTRICTIVE way possible. oh you shelled out the 10 dollars and put in the requisite 95 hours of work to unlock a visor or color you like? well they dont work with the new armor you just unlocked, I’m sure they’d be happy to sell you it again. its predatory plain and simple.
Honestly I’m tired of hearing how the game is “free” as an excuse for any of this. the multiplayer has ALWAYS been a free addition. TO THE CAMPAIGN. which is still its full price. and with how the multiplayer is being presented I’m genuinely worried about what to expect.
As for the claims about it just being a beta or its intended december 8th release date. you might recall this game was delayed. it was originally set to launch well over a year ago. Now I have no issues with the idea of delaying the release of ANYTHING until its finished, but for it to have had the initial release date set in the first place someone had to think there would be enough there to sell. if the game is as sparse as it is now, what were they going to sell us over a year ago? what did they use that year for? what makes you think that anything will be addressed or fixed in any way?
If the 8th rolls around and they “release the game in full”, and overnight it actually has all the content its missing (proper playlists, repaired customization options, ect.) I’ll be ECSTATIC to eat my words. there’s the bones of a great game here, but all around it are signs that design decision #1 behind every choice starts with the question “how can we make the player pay more for less?”
I know I’m beginning to ramble on but I really believe this and I think its important to say. there has been an argument ongoing for decades now as to weather or not video games are art. the people making them have something they want to create and its quality created the opportunity to monetize the product. but before the monetization was an option the impulse to create was there already. Halo Infinites multiplayer seems to be a revenue generator first and a game second, and I think the evidence for that is so overwhelmingly present and distracting that people cant help but notice.
“Just enjoy it everyone” that’s not how this works. There are valid complaints. If you can’t stand to see other people properly critique this game, just play the game. Cause the aim assist, lack of grenade jumping, lack of friendly fire, bad damage tracking among other things are very valid and VERY frequent. There’s ALOT more than just cosmetic flaws. Weapon balancing being another prominent issue moreso than the last two flights
No one is complaining about Sprint which is a miracle, so it’s not like these are coming out of a place of hatred. Some parts of this is good, but alot more is bad. Only thing I can give this over Halo 3 is how much better the BR is and that I actually can like the gun finally as I never once did. But I know theres something wrong when I can’t snipe for my life in Infinite but once I get back on 3 or Reach, suddenly I can finesse alot of shots as if I never left.
The beta excuse does not fly here. Time and time again, we have seen Betas be VERY close if not the exact same as the launch. Worse part, this was not too long after the last flight and we are about 3 weeks before the full game. Game development and maintenance is tough. You think they can reliably get much done in that timeframe? Highly HIGHLY doubtful.
This is definitely the best Halo since 3. It needs polish, some fixes, and a lot more content before I’m ready to say it’s better than 3, though.
It could get there, but 343 will have to handle the post-launch period correctly in order to make it. If they just drip-feed fixes and content over two years while whispering sweet nothings in our ear on Twitter about how “they’re listening to the feedback”, Halo 3 will probably still be my #1.
This is definitely the best Halo since 3
I totally agree. Yeah, there are still some things to clean up, but this is easily the most I’ve enjoyed Halo multiplayer since H3 and H2.
Having the game delayed a year sure seems to indicate that 343 is dedicated to delivering a quality game. And multiplayer released a few weeks early. So I’d believe that things will continue to be tweaked as actual launch date approaches.
I don’t have a doubt at all that this game will be in tip top shape soon. My glass is definitely half full as I really love the Halo infinite gameplay.
You’re obviously not paying attention there’s a lot that is wrong their issues with the melee their issues with cross-play their issues with the shields there’s a lot of things that they can tweet personally they probably pushed out the game too early their season one was filled with nothing their map for campaign was going to be three times the size
Gameplay is definitely the best I’ve ever played. In my opinion, its an evolved Halo 3 that makes it more fun and interesting.
Does it have issues? Yes, but the majority seems to be focused on the technical and content-side. Gameplay itself, while perhaps a bit more polishing at the edges as well, is still the best I’ve ever played. Can’t go back to the previous Halos and their multiplayers after Infinite.
Evolved Halo 3 by being an evolution of Halo 5…hmmmm…
h3 is the worst halo
youre welcome to your own opinion (even though its wrong)
I wouldn’t go so far to say the worst. H4 takes that title for me with the whole loadouts and class system combined. But yea H3 was honestly pretty lackluster IMO.
I’m in the same boat almost exactly. As far as which games delivered the best experience overall I’d say
Reach > 3 > ODST > 1 > 2 > Infinite > 4/5
