The semi-futuristic yet recognizable look of it, the bassy sound of it, the overall gameplay feel of it. With everything that fans claim that 343 did wrong with Halo 4 the shotgun is not one of them. Easily the best looking shotty blast in the Halo series and the second best handling!
I like the Halo 4 shotty aswell. Most people i know complain on the design but it looks fine to me/
Looks great, sounds great, and is overall awesome.
Shotgun is my fav Halo 4 weapon and my most used in MM. Mostly because I play Flood, yeah, but I love it!

On topic: I do like the new shotgun, I just wish they would have put the blue, red or green color on it (or some new color) like in previous Halo games.

Hmm, why not blue, like your HUD when you are not aiming at anything, green for allies and red for foes?

That’s actually a pretty cool idea.
Love the new Shotgun! And it looks real good witbout the red or green colors IMO. Looks like a beast.
The problem I have with THIS is that it looks a hell of a lot like THIS instead of THIS which, IMO, looks a lot more smooth/streamlined and futuristic whereas the first two look modern and gritty.
Edit: Also, redundant thread is redundant. Someone already made a thread about the shotgun and the op blatantly created this one to oppose the first thread made instead of respectfully agreeing or disagreeing and moving on.
All the shotguns have been good except for Halo 2 & 3.
