The like button is a nice touch. There was no need for them to put in fanfare but they did anyway. In general I like this site’s design and functionality.
Agreed, it’s a nice little touch. Waypoint is pretty well designed, I think it’s a shame it doesn’t get nearly as much traffic or engagement (even from 343i it seems) than r/Halo.
I’m just glad we don’t have a dislike button. If there’s one thing I could change about reddit it would be to get rid of downvotes. If everyone used them properly (downvote only for off topic or not helpful), rather than just as a disagree button, it would be ok but most people use it to block out opinions that they don’t like. Waypoint (and other more traditional forums) are nice because they force you to engage with someone in dialogue if you disagree with them.
