i "love" how they put so much emphasis on teamwork

most if not all the teammates i get dont act as a team and dont give a -Yoink- about their teammates. before you tell me to get a team before i go into arena. i dont want to do that EVERYTIME I PLAY ARENA and im sure other people dont either. it makes me want to quit i get so frustrated with this system putting me with incompetent people ALL THE TIME i always atleast get one person like that if not 3 people. i miss the days in reach where you could get into a game and have the teammates be good

Dude, relax. It’s just a game.

yea but EVERYTIME i go into arena i dont want to get stressed out because im really the only one that can do anything sometimes. its better in warzone a little

Whether it’s reach or halo 5 it doesn’t matter. Teamwork is up to the players, don’t try and blame the game. Blame society. It’s what I do most of the time.

I hear you bro, i’m bad at this game too. j/k. I wish it would at least keep you with some of the people if you wanted so you can maybe develop a friendship and team-up. but after each round it kicks everyone out and I have very little idea of who was who.

i know its not the games fault but it is a little the fact that they are that bad leads me to believe that they either have been carried into the rank they are or just have bad days like i used to have in reach when i was in all honesty ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE lol

one of the points im trying to make is that you never had to team up in any other halo to actually not have a 10 loss streak but you do in arena

I think they wanted you to play with friends in the game. Why are all games doing that!?!? I don’t have friends!

this is not a new issue with halo.

maybe so but in reach it was never this big of a problem

When Halo 6 comes out you will probably have to have a team together to play the campaign!

that might not be as bad honestly…but no and i dont see why they would ever put that in lol

If you want, you can still talk and direct them. Unless they mute you, you will always be able to talk with them listening. When I’m playing solo and people start to talk, it’s very helpful because they tell us where a cluster of enemies are and what weapons they have. Usually, whatever they say, I’ll do it because why not? It’ll only be beneficial.

The most frustrating thing for me is that the ranking system goes by wins. So even if your’e doing really well , playing the objective and playing tactically you can still have a crap rank because your teammates are just going for kills/camping in the corner when your’e playing a -Yoinking!- game of strongholds!

It’s both the game and the community’s fault.
The game is responsible for deciding which players, solo and grouped, get pitched against who out of everyone who is in matchmaking.
Now keep in mind this is a very difficult thing to program and do.

So the game is partially at fault for matching low skilled players in a team against a group of high skilled players.
But the community is also at fault when team members go AFK, team kill, or everyone in matchmaking is in a group coordinating, and you are the one who isn’t in a group.
I personally think matchmaking should just throw out skill brackets and grab a random group of people, then evaluate each individual’s skill level and balance from there.

i would if i would get acknoledgement they are listening by saying ok or something but nope. i gave up trying to communicate with my team in reach even though im more of a team player now then i was then

More effective to do so anyway. Its the players, not the game.

Exactly! I’ve seen a few games that use skill brackets, in the case of this game, skill ranks, and they end up making matchmaking worse for a good amount of players.
You get players that exploit skill rankings to get matched up with players horrendously lower skilled, and the skill calculating can be so hard to truly do it ends up being horribly inaccurate, making players of different skills getting jumbled. And if a player carries the team, the other players on the team get a buff to their skill ranking, meaning they’ll fight tougher opponents they can’t handle.
Throw out skill bracket matchmaking. It ain’t working.

If you encounter a crappy teammate, you’ve encountered a crappy teammate. If you’re CONSTANTLY encountering crappy teammates, then you are the crappy teammate.
