I love Halo 5 - But promethean grenade needs nerf

I personally think the grenade is a great idea in the sense that you can block off paths from the enemy.

However, I’m sick of someone literally turning around and getting a cheap kill from them. They shouldn’t be one hit kill IMO.

They should be nerfed.

Thoughts?

They aren’t a one hit kill unless you walk through the whole thing.

Well if they need nerfed for one hit killing what about frags and plasmas? They one hit kill as well.

Getting closer to having a thread about every weapon in the game needing to be “nerfed”

its a huge buff from the halo 4 promethean nade

pulse nades were a OHK but the aoe was obvious and took too long to kill, they were good for vechs but other than that kinda useless

splinter nades arent a OHK, it takes 4-5 of those little things to detonate and kill you

its a OHK if you get hit with the initial explosion or walk into it fully

If you direct impact somebody with one, they die. Just like a plasma grenade. Splinter grenades make for some awesome route blockers. I honestly have only died by direct impact, which makes sense. I have no issues with them. The only gripe I have, is that I have had teammates purposely walk through them to make me betray them. Not just assuming. It was a several time thing in a match that got me kicked.

The Splinter Grenades are fine. The leftover mines are pretty obvious and don’t instant kill unless you completely walk into them. A direct hit won’t even hit kill unless you stick around for the mines to lock in. They’re much better than the underpowered Pulse Grenades.

I don’t agree. The Grenade has pretty obvious lingering area of effect and only people who aren’t paying attention stick around and get killed. The only real lethality is a direct his which is only plausible at near point blank range.

The only grivance I have is when teammates kill themselves by walking into the pulsing and getting a betrayal. I mean come on you didn’t see these things while walking away from a fight?

if anything needs to be nerfed it’s the bad playing habits players have that need a patch.

Plus Plasma grenades can actually kill you because they have a more powerful but smaller radius than Frags.
