Because right now, I’m leaning towards ‘Sit behind rock while losing, with DMR and ammo perk’.
And as a competitive player, I’m pretty sad about that.

It’s best to camp at your spawn on Adrift CTF, then slaughter anything that comes near your flag with the help of your entire team. It works every time. Just spawn camping in general works unbelievably well, and you earn ordnance for camping with 3 other guys. That way you can get a Sniper Rifle and get more range when camping in said spawn. That was all sarcastic, but it’s a totally real “strategy” that so many players use. I didn’t see that in other Halos, so it says something about a map where you literally don’t need to move out of where you start to win.

Thats the sad reality of btb, complex and ragnorok. Highly suggest playing say some Oddball on adrift or something where theres more map movement.
Slayer modes are nothing more than DMR/BR festivals. Just sayin

Find some buddies and load up a remake of “The Pit”
Play it with any setting you’d like. Fun are sure to ensue… at least, more fun than BTB slayer on ragnarok…
On the bright side, at least nobody has to suffer AR starts on Valhalla if they don’t want to.

Vehicles
Do nothing.
Play some Oddball or KotH and you’ll get more competetive.
Geeze don’t even kid yourself into thinking that you are that good at it.
You need to have aided recently in taking down a player for it to count as an assist, meaning that ‘Noob’ and his team worked together better than you or your guys most likely, picking you off one at a time. To have more than 10 assists in a BTB matchmaking game is actually great. I don’t know about you, whether you care about some K/D -Yoink- or not, but some of us care about teamwork and WINNING!
Grab a mic and play like a winner. Not a K/D ratio noob whom of which in my experience are not good team players. Play some CTF, Oddball, or KotH.

My advice, be lucky, call in a Binary Rifle via Ordnance and sit in the back corner of the map cleaning up kills.
And don’t try to take power points, your team won’t be there to help you as they’ll all have the same idea I just gave.

My advice would be to not change your play style but change the game you play.
It’s obvious Halo 4 will not cater to those who play competitively.
Just play Team Regicide. The only fun gametype in Halo 4 IMHO, with some decent levels of competitiveness and play style. Fun enough to get me playing Halo 4 again.
Will be seriously upset when they take it out next week and I’ll be back to playing Halo Wars.
Sigh.

PS play team slayer because if you knew as much about halo as you think you do you’d know the binary rifle does NOT spawn in personal ordnance on medium maps, only large maps.

But it does spawn in random ordinance.
