This is the 2nd halo mp that I have straight up given up on. First was halo 4 ( we all know why). The issue with this is A. Forcing me to play random modes not letting me select what I want to play (I’ll play obj but not with randos). B. The customization is the worst…… unless you pay money which I won’t. Not paying for basic colors or preset combos. C. Battle pass and progression. What incentive is there to do well when you get the same xp as anyone else. Going 2 and 20 vs trying and winning (not worth it)…….
I love halo overall but screw f2p screw battle passes it’s a virus that corrupts core games. Unless the f2p garbage goes away and battle pass becomes history on top of mcc style game selection, aka a battlefront 2017 COMPLETE overhaul happens im not even giving this mp the light of day.

I’m staying on mcc for my halo needs. Been playing more world of Warcraft lately It awards effort with gear instead of afking for xp
Unfortunately, I’ve seen so many people defending this as the best game ever and running around with $20+ shop cosmetics that I doubt they will make any significant changes in terms of monetization and approach. We’ll be lucky when they add more freaking playlists.
don’t get me wrong, the gameplay of infinite is like any other halo, enjoyable… but the limitations on ANY PLAYER CHOICE, is inexcusable. going behind the f2p excuse.
in my oppinion, free to play is just as big of a stain now adays as loot boxes were back in 2016/17.
big boi companies abusing it to the fullest to make a lack luster game, with issues, but make 100% sure the transactions work. but also give a promise that it’l all be fixed with another come back story…

Gameplay is solid 100% I’ll give it that that. It’s not enough for me to ignore what else is wrong with it
personaly i’d give it an 80% solidity, but that’s just me. but also agreed… gameplay can only take a game so far, especially limited gameplay
