I liked it

I have to say, when I started playing Guardians, it was quite different to say the least. I was getting my derriere handily whooped by kids half my age. Frustration hit a boiling point. Pacing was crazy and I learned that indeed playing as a team was the only way to avoid getting ambushed and shot to hell. I wasn’t happy at all with the game, so I turned it off. After a couple of hours of calming down and reflecting, I realized that I wanted to play it again. WTF?!? That hasn’t happened since Halo 3. Then it hit me, 343, must have done something right. Lets see, no armour abilities, no loadouts, intense skill based combat, map placed power weapons. Win, win in my eyes. I like the addition of the ledge grabbing, long overdue in the Halo universe IMO. Sprinting is good, not sure about the boosting and air stabilizing slam stuff, but who knows, it may come in handy. The only thing I’m not big on is the COD style aiming. There’s no place for it in Halo if you ask me. I like the click zooming, as it changes the dynamic of the gameplay. LT aiming is too quick and accessible, little to no risk to the attacker as they can pop out of it very quickly. If you were to commit yourself to click zooming, you made sure it was safe to do so. That needs to go. All else fine.

Smart scope- thurst pack- hulk smash- sprint- climb- thrust with sword… Ya it’s like COD. The whole game is players up high and if you run by then boom hulk smash and your dead. Umm no thanks. I played a bunch in 2 days, even though geting kills was easyer compared to Reach and H4 it still wasn’t fun.

I was able to put in around 5 solid hours of game time into the H5 beta and I truly enjoyed it. Reminded me of a mix between Titanfall and Halo 4 in a good way. Truly enjoyed it.
