CE to 4 didn’t have thrusters, so yes, lore is wrong. Lore is never a good excuse for bad game design.
That dude got a amazing point. Halo 4, Halo reach are more cod than Halo 5 is. Halo 5 actually stuck to the core of what Halo 2 is . So how is it not Halo?
You know what’s not Halo ? The grapple and the repulsor but your not complaining about that are you?
Your bias is showing
I never voiced my thoughts on H4 or Infinite, stop assuming. Those games aren’t Halo either.
Again, the game design was fun. A lot of players enjoyed multiplayer.
Halo 5’s failure was in monetization in warzone and customization. A very much forgettable story.
The movement abilities were pretty fun and added another layer to the combat loop. Players adapted to them pretty fast.
Actually Halo 4 had thruster packs. And that game came out before cod had their thruster. Sooooooooooooooooooo???
Your lacking Halo knowledge I see
But that combat loop wasn’t Halo. Halo is defined by CE-3 and 5 did not follow this.
ah yes an armor ability no one used or picked, and did not impact gameplay in almost any way? how could I forget.
Except it did. With eqaul starts. In fact Halo 3 is less Halo than Halo 5 because of the equipment. Halo isn’t what the abilites are. Halo is what you spawn with.
Eqaul starts rains over all
H3 also has fair starts, nice fail.
What do you mean pick up? You can’t pickup a thruster in halo 4. It was a loadout that was used heavily actually a long with the others.
My dude brush up on your Halo knowledge before debating man
Oh, so you’re a Halo 2 and 3 are the only Halos kind of player. That’s okay if you are but one thing I have always enjoyed about Halo over CoD or other FPS franchises is that all the games feel different.
Halo CE and Halo 2 are totally different multiplayer experiences.
Halo 3 went projectile based over Halo 2’s hitscan and then added in equipment, which changed the gameplay a lot again.
Halo Reach added in abilities and loadouts.
Halo 4 put sprint in as a fixed ability and went back to hitscan for a lot of weapons.
None of the Halo games are the same. So getting upset over thrusters is silly in my opinion but you’re going to feel how you want. Everyone loses sight of things when they put on rose tinted nostalgia glasses.
It didn’t it only had fair starts when there were no equipment.
This is what fair starts is
Everyone having the same abilites
Weapons on map
Power weapons on map
Power ups
That’s it. That’s equal starts. That’s Halo
Halo CE , Halo 2 and halo 5 are the most “Halo”
H3 had fair starts, equipment was on the map the same as weapons and power ups.
Halo 5 was the game that was pretty much the death of Halo as a franchise. That’s why this one had to be free to play. I would never giver them $60 for a game up front after that bs. And I don’t think I’m alone in that.
Like 5. Everyone had thrusters. You’re using the same argument from a different angle to try and disagree. Which is silly.
CE-3 still play and feel similar and follow the same basic rules. Reach onwards ignores the classic rules and changes in ways that nobody wanted. Imagine if COD doubled player HP and made guns laser accurate when hip fired, it wouldn’t be COD anymore.
I wasn’t attacking H5 from the equal starts positioning, try again.
This is ignoring a lot of outside factors, such as game competition, player tastes changing, and the rise of PC. Halo 5 isn’t the best game but to say it was the singular reason for the decline of Halo is inaccurate.
Halo Reach my guy, started off as a joke, ended up as a full fledged gamemode
yes it is… if its licenced as a halo game its a halo game… just because it isnt your cup of tea dosent mean it is no long a cup of tea, its personal taste
