So I jumped on here before I got home and saw a thread complaining that the playlist sucked, only breakout maps etc and at first I was like yeah that does sound pretty lame. But I love doubles so that’s the first playlist I got on when I got home, and the vday playlist nails it. Halo 2 BR starts? Hell yeah. Binary Rifle on the map? Hell yeah, I’ve been trying to work on the binary rifle comm for quite a while and this is a godsend. I think the breakout maps are perfectly suited for 2s. They’re faster paced maps that keep the game moving quicker and they make it waaay easier to catch up to your buddy after a death (vs spawning on the opposite side of an arena map pretty much guaranteeing your partners death). No nades or 2nd weapon make pickups way more vital. I’d play in the vday playlist everyday if it stuck around, my favorite weekend playlist since release by far.
I just don’t understand the players that feel the need to complain about EVERYTHING. This playlist has nothing to do with menu cleanup, lobby chat mute, more gametypes, or pretty much anything else people have been discussing. Seriously just relax and enjoy the holiday special, it’s a good time.
