i like the new rocket launcher design.

mostly because the old one kind of didnt make sense…

the idea that if you ran out of ammo that it would be lighter to carry around made no sense considering the ammo would literally weight more than 5x overall…

the new one has a small clip, maybe like 5 pounds or so and a 30 or so pound launcher… combined with a few extra clips its not much overall. maybe combined to like 50 pounds if you have a few spare clips. additionally the smaller clip size means you can carry A LOT more ammo and reload much easier.

the old one the clips were like 25-30lbs easily. with another 10 or so for the base… with a few extra clips thats a potential extra HUNDRED POUNDS. its completely backwards from common sense. i mean look at the spare ammo containers, they are massive and only carry as many as 4 extra rounds. they take up tremdous space for the minimal ammo count. the extra weight and size would mean that reloading would involve slinging around a lot of weight.

so quite frankly from a realistic standpoint the new launcher is more weight efficient. there is a reason why reusable launchers in the real world mostly are just tubes you can stick a rocket/missile in.

so yes… the new rocket launcher is a MASSIVE improvement over the old one.

I like it too actually. I love the new magazine-fed mechanism. Though the reason most people do not like it is because at first glance, it looks like a modern generic launcher such as the AT4, SMAW, Carl Gustav, etc. Whereas the old SPNKr was quite unique.

I don’t mind the new design, but it was unnecessary.

It blows stuff up, that’s really my only concern. I don’t dislike the old SPNKR design, I don’t care about realism either. It does the job it’s designed to do so I’m fine with the design change.

SPNKr rocket launcher is best rocket launcher

yeah… there is no denying the SPNKr was not unique… maybe not sensible but unique…

I don’t like it. It’s not big enough. You can’t tell if an enemy player has one in the heat of a firefight, so sometimes you miss the opportunity to try to avoid it. That obnoxiously big launcher from halo 2-3 was good. You could see it across the map and react accordingly.

If it blows stuff up, I don’t care how it looks.

I missed it till I got the Ad Victoriam certification. It is so amazing and crazy! Three guided rockets with each shot!!!
