I like the marketing

Being so silent in the release of information I think keep people interested. It holds this mystery about the game which created excitement to find out what this game is all about. Especially campaign. But on the bad side, to keep silence over this long timespan, makes the mystery and excitement fade away. If 343I are trying this type of marketing, they really should keep going with giving the community glimps of what to come. Just small bits of taste.
To create hunger in the excitment they try to hype up is not so good, in my opinion.
what do you think? Is the marketing totally wrong, is it good or could it be slightly better as my suggestions?

Being free to play and on game pass, they don’t really need much marketing. The other Halo games sold like 10-15 million copies and game pass users are over 20 million at this point. I’m sure this number will increase a bunch when Halo is released too, they’ll be advertising all over the Xbox Dashboard and in YouTube shorts and Instagram ads etc etc very close to launch because people generally want instant access/gratification and there’s no need to release info early to incentives pre-orders as they’re using this game to sell game pass subscriptions rather than the game itself.

I’d love to see more info around campaign, how it looks now with raytracing, does it run at 60fps in 4k. Just anything really. We have like one 8 minute gameplay trailer that is a year old and was met with huge backlash. I’m hoping we get to see more soon as the game isn’t far out at all and we know so little compared to what you usually know about a game.

When it comes to a game being a mystery, you don’t want that when people are on the fence about buying the game, that’s not quite the marketing you want… people want to know about the game and what it is they’re buying.

but regardless I’m pretty sure marketing will take off once the last month before launch is here.

what marketing?

The marketing has been focused squarely on multiplayer. This makes sense because that is what is really going to bring in the money. We’ll get a bit more campaign marketing, I’m sure, probably in November.
