So, who or what do you think they are? Are they going to be more like characters, enemies, or just a redundant plot element that goes absolutely nowhere like Vergil in Halo: ODST? I think it would be awesome if they all had their own names and personalities, kind of like the Reapers in Mass Effect. What I really want to know is what they are guarding. I think it has something to do with the Flood.
Guardian talk, the title characters of Halo 5…
They’re probably war machines that protect entry into the domain or into structures that can access the domain.
I think there’s been little talk of them because they’ve gotten so little discussion thus far. All we’ve really gotten is images.
I’m curious to see what they are. What purpose they serve. And if we get to take any out in some big -Yoink- explodey fight.
Beyond random guesses that halo follower will see and make a video of, there’s nothing really to say.
There was a thread or two about them being ‘generic’ somehow a month or two ago.

There has been a number of topics about the guardians.
I didn’t see any in this forum.
Giant war machines that guard stuff. Hence their names, guardians. I’m gonna guess that they guard important Forerunner artifacts and are on many different planets. So far we’ve seen 2. An owl looking one and that giant blue one. Guardians are guarded by prometheans, probably to keep out unwanted guests that might board the guardian. Warden Eternal says “The Master Chief was called, but you, your passage is denied.” The guardian may be a vehicle.Buck says “You think the Chiefs already on board?” .The guardian appears to be very powerful, taking down phantoms when it emerged from the ground.
That’s what I think the guardian is, and its purpose for existing.
constructs, war machines, gatekeepers I don’t know but I think well find out soon enough though

Thats the nature of this, or any other forum. Controversial topics (i.e. split screen, elites, armor, ect.) tend to either remain at the top due to alot of discussion or multiple threads keep being remade about said topics, pushing other topics down quickly.
The Guardians have been talked about before, but as of right now there isn’t a whole lot to go on other than theories and guesses.

You know, you have a point here: that Engineer in ODST used Virgil who help the Rookie and was saved by ONI so it could provide intel on what the Covenant was digging for on Earth … Yet by Halo 3, it’s pretty obvious that the UNSC got absolutely nothing from him because no one has a clue what’s going on.
Nobody starts topics of game discussions around here, this is the pit, people come here to vent and complaint. If you want good discussions try other Halo forums.
Those are the -Yoinks!- that kill you when you try to leave the map, beyond that I don’t know.
There have been plenty of posts about who the guardians are. The fact is, nobody knows anything about them, so the converstions generally die out fast.
People should focus more on in game action and not on armor and weapons because game play is the main key in any game
Guardians most likely Guard key forerunner artefacts or sites. But we haven’t seen them on any of the Halos, Shield worlds or line installations so I really have no idea.
All I know is my little miny Gaurdian that comes with my LCE edition is gonna be sweet. I think I’ll call him Gizmo like the little Mogwai in that Gremlins movie, that little dude rocks.
